Status: offline 		Hi, I just want some opinion on the modification that I’m doing to the Laser.
First I went over size on the elevator adding the tip of the stab to the elevator for balancing purpose and as a bit of a booster tab “ nothing unusual there, just like a cap 232 “ I also did the rudder Cap 232 style and bigger then requested by the original plans; Doing the same “ taking part of the fin and making it part of the rudder so a smaller fin is felt when the rudder is deflected.

I’m also doing a blunt leading edge, because of my past experience with Cap 232 and sukhoi. “ They’ll stall at a much higher angle but when they stall it’s a very abrupt stall, giving way to all sort of tumbling. At that point it really become a brut power down draft and heavy tail deflection action.

They blunt leading edge weary me a bit, but it’s mostly the ailerons that I don’t know what to expect off. A few month ago I saw a video of Quiki Somensini that was flying a new rage from Japan that had huge ailerons, he did a “wall “ at about 10 feet that was so brutal that you had to see it to believe it. So after a couple beer and a lot of self persuasion “ they are both inversely proportional “ I did an aileron that extend to 3” from the fuselage the length of it is 41.5 “ and the root of the aileron is 7” and the tip is 3.5” It will be balance and a booster tab of 11by 2 is in function. The total surface of the ailerons is 220 sq. in. From snooping around on the net, I realize that most big ailerons are the same with from tip to root, What can I expect from that wide aileron at the root. Any general comment will be appreciated.
