My friend and I have tried them. I have the 18x8 on a smaller plane and he was using a 23x8. I would seriously consider these good props. The new Vess props are also supposed to be cool on DA 100. So far I have only used the NX and Mezlik on the DA 100 so I cant help you with the 50cc prop first hand. From what I have seen on the 18x8 I am running it lives up to its reputation. They are every bit as good as the Mezlik.

I would think 23x8 might be the way to go? Ill let you know for sure when my DA 50 gets here this week.

People might think we are sided when we tell them though. Looks like you are having fun hucking the 260. Tony should be done with mine after JN 06. Where has Gene been hidding? Need to get together sometime for some big plane flying.

Another good thing about the PT model props is that they are in stock most of the time.

22X10 Engel is also very good. Very light, lots of thrust and quiet

Yes I sure did last weekend, we have a AM Yak 54 wit hDA100, we were running the 27-10 and with a side by side comparison with the Menz 27-10 the PT felt better and as quick.

I have one coming for my 260 in the 30-10 size...will let you know

If you need anyhting just call

Darcy, do you know if PT makes any props larger than the 32x10. Maybe a 32x12 or something along those lines for the 3W 157's.

I hear a vacation calling. Trust me man I am the same way. Gotta hustle.

Glad to hear you like the 260. Just might have to get one.

Comparing the PT model to Vess props now that would be interesting.

I got to fly my PT Models 26x10 today, I like it a lot better than the mejzlik I was running, harder pull on uplines and out of a hover, and great low speed characteristics. Not sure if they larger props fly like this one, but this one rocks.

I have a PT 23X8 for my DA 50 on an 18lb AM Yak.

It is a little better than a NX 23X8 that I also have. Both props are really good though.

I just tried my PT 27x10 on my DA-100 yesterday. Up until this time I had been running a Menz S 27x10 and was very happy with it. I wanted to try the PT to see if it would be any quieter than the Menz. I am very impressed with the PT. The noise reduction is substantial! It pulls just as good as the Menz only it is much quieter. It tached out at 6400 RPM on the DA using Amsoil 100-1. I also weighed the two props. The Menz weighs 6.5 oz., the PT weighs 7 oz. Not bad for a carbon fiber prop. At this point I am thoroughly pleased with this prop.

Travis,
How was the downline braking on it? I have one sitting in the garage to go on a DA-100.

We just ran a PT models 28 X 10 on a friends new carden with a new DA 100. I was the first time it was started. The engen and prop worked great. It was tackin 6200 on the lawn boy break in mix. I also run a 20 X 8 PT on my brison 2.4. I get 7400 on the ground it pulls like a mule. It spools up just as fast as the Ed Skoerpa 20 X 8 wood prop I had on previously. The props pull every bit as good as a Mejzlik from my experience. Plus there is a bonus of them being lighter and a little less expensive. I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

For those who have not seen them side by side -- the PT is an exact copy -in glass- of the wooden props Ed Skorepa sells - I have examined them side by side .( Paint em both red -you can't tell em apart.)
Typically, the Skorepa props rev faster -static- than comparable sizes in Mejzlic- I run em both .
In smaller sizes the wood is as effective - have not run th PT in large sizes --I run ZM in large sizes --very quiet design.
The PT is very well made but a LOT more money than the wood props -

shakes268,
The downline braking with the PT was every bit as good as the Menz. I felt that the all around performance was very similar to the Menz, just a lot less noise.
