Hi razor , its an option on the plans but the kit comes with fixed gear... being retract compatible was a factor in buying this model.. like the FA18 the plans cater for the Hobbico 3 gear retracts and for one other brand , but the name of those escapes me.

Other mods I'm trying to work out are to conceal the aileron control horns. The elevator and rudder horns are concealed as standard in this kit..

Another aspect I am trying to tackle is to make it as lite as I can with out sacraficing rigidity or strength, I will blend the ducts into a wing fillet type arrangement.

one other thing I might look at pending the quality of the elevators , and that is a full flying stab just like Mods-R-Me has done for the SU27..in fact I like that system so much.. it might become a standard arrangement on all the kits I have left to build

I have almost finished my Diamond Dust , I found that lost inspiration that I accidently chucked into the corner , picked it up, dusted it off and got to work again..just need to get some fibreglass material to make the cowling for the engine + pipe..then I'll build the F20

Hey guys yesterday i picked up an airframe of a Direct connection r/c F-20 (the juno f-20 is the same thing) I have wanted one for some time and this one was free but i am not sure of how the fin goes on it sits in a long block but not sure how the block sits on the turtle deck or if it is supposed to be under the turtle deck and i need to know the CG of the plane
If anyone has a set of plans for this plane or can help me out it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Frank

PS I will post picks as soon as i get my camera back from my uncle (he borrowed it for the weekend)

Thanks Haveblue - Spring Airs are my favorite but I might try that Euro brand (Eurokit?) next time... I am looking at the Juno F-20 but It'd have to have retracts...

Frank- Nice catch with the D/C F-20! I would need to see pics to help but I will google and try to find the manual for ya--

With the big block under the vertical I am leaning tward the Kangke . Here is what the manual for the DC looks like, no block, also the CG is 5 3/4 from the LE at the root and measured upside down. I have the Kangke manual scanned but not the DC.

The Kobra has an OS 40 LA and a futaba radio The graphics are hand drawn and cut by me the eagle head alone is 4 pieces and the flames on the fuse are 3 different pieces it was fun getting them all ironed on exactly the same on both sides

Hello guys hows it going?

Well here it goes ... Rifle (V-tail -OPT) is set up with a Jett .50 with Blk racing pipe. C/G is 6" to 6-1/2" from the Leading edge. I have all the conttrols by (3) 3004s (1) Hitech 81- Thr. These servos are good enough for the control surface. ali. 1/2" up and down, Ele. 1/2" up and down. rud. if you use it 1/2" L and R. It does help on take off. I use a landing gear. I do not recommend throwing it, it will stall the eng. I also have use a dolly. For landing I use 1/4 thr, and full trim up on the ele. this will help you get out of trouble and also keep the nose up while landing. THATS if your using a langing gear. If no gear, than you cut the eng off . It has not tip stall on me yet. I did a video on it, I hope these works.
