ok purchased this about 2 weeks ago and apart from 2 little crashes(clipped main rotor blades)
been going well
can hover very well now for over 20 mins constantly(purchased 2 lipo batterys)
the problem is
i have trimmed it very well o does not move around at all when i get in the air
the problem i am having is turned the gyro up a little just before it starts wagging it tail but
during flight i am having from a fresh battery to trim the tail and after a min or 2 trim again and slowly put more and more trim on over the period of 6 mins or so till a point wheni have full right trim on it and still not quite enough to stop the tail rotating
so while flying have to keep a right hand tail on just a bit to keep stright
is this normal
also when hovering anything up to about 3 foot off the ground when altering the hovering so i am moving around a little a dips quite a bit which i compensate for by applying a little more throttle is this normal
since i am self teaching (the training gear has now come off) i am trying this out before i move on to move exspensive models
anyway hope you can help me thanks
here is some video of how i am doing so far these are from a couple of days ago so getting better as try to fly for a hour or 2 a day
must point out i am doing this in my living room 8 foot square

http://www.teessidelads.com/cpg132/thumbnails.php?album=36

as a addition hopefully some on will fgiure what i am on about

anyway i had the pitch on main rotors set up thought about 10 deg but tail kept wondering quite a bit even with full trim on
anyway after a bit of reading reduced the pitch using the longer support screws
which reduced by about 2-3 deg
now need more throttle to get in the air
with higher pitch could get in the air with less than 50% throttle and very easy to control as quite dossile but with the lower pitch takes about 50% mayb 55% throttle before starts lifting and 60% before in the air and is very responsive (when set higher pitch was easy to hover in small area) with this lower pitch i can control and hover entire battery but slightly bigger area.

would this be correct
thanks

Did you put heatsinks on the tail motor.. the N30 when it is hot tend to loose torque and weakens. It might be the reason why you ned to adjust the rudder trim continously

Sounds like "Walkera Gyro Syndrome"...

Does it have the silver external gyro or is it integrated?

took me about 3 batteries with the training gear on to trim up
then about 15 batteries before i felt confident enough to hover without training gear on
but now can sit there all day within a 2 foot square mostly just hovering
getting it now so can sit at about 2 1/2 foot stable and increase throttle one more raise it but have to cut throttle back as will actullay start going up and hit my light fitting (8 foot high)
but trained totally in my front room with only about 8 foot square space
thanks about the video
have loads more will upload them when i have time
hopefully today going to try to do some front back left right flying with tail pointing me
feeling good so far only clipped the rotors twice with very minimal damage (chipped rotor blade)
but once it is trimmed is easy
must point out the bit just before it takes off it trys to left but think that is normal
have got used to just pulling a little right as i take off and putting back in middle as soon as in the air
oh and very very small movements on stick, you can actully see it about to move if you look closely and can put a small adjustment in before it moves, this is with just hovering. i presume when flying is going to be easier

I liked the videos you can really may your heli hover in a small space cannot do that with my DF40 it always wonder around, I guess a slight breeze can really move the heli away a good hover.. about the trim thing I also have it it my DF40 while using the NiMh battery during flight you will see that it has a counter clockwise rotation that always get stronger as you drain the battery... I am not sure what makes the heli do that..

well i have figured it out after a lot of reading and stuff
anyway here goes
i set the pitch via sight to what i thought 10 deg would look like in comparison to the flybar
anyway i read if the pitch is high causes more drag, something about air flow not working right which causes more drag
which makes it rotate more which then hard for the trim to work right
anyway i reduced the pitch of the blades slightly probley by 2-3 deg
anyway the out come is that now my trim for the tail is not at maximum anymore (only quarter to half on) and the gyro is doing it job and keeping the tail stright with just a little input from the tail control every 20-30 sec and only just a nudge
then leave alone again
anyway have a look at the new videos i have put up see if you can see the diffrence by reducing the pitch just alittle
in fact the long rod i adjusted by one screw out on each side which adjusts the pitch also (more fine tune though)

further down are newer videos (they are longer and getting bigger) so let them buffer a little

Hi there. nice flying. I have a 22E as well and i cannot even get it to hover. I've crashed it 6 times now and it has cost me about $40 - $50cad to fix it each time. My wife is on the verge of divorcing me!!! lol how the heck are you able to hold that hover? my heli just won't(or I can't) do that! every time it lifts of the ground it immediately zip's sideways. (if the nose is facing away from me it goes left) it has done the same thing since that day I took it out of the box. Good news is, now I am an expert in rebuilding this thing. I would love it if you could give me a few tips on how to get this thing into a stable hover. Oh ya, also when I do manage to get it off the floor, I have to really and i mean REALLY work the controls just to try and keep it from moving all over the place. Then I crash, then it breaks, then I put it away till i buy more parts and start it all over again just to crash again!.. AAARRGGG!!!! And also your videos are great, but maybe you could turn the sound OFF on your tv while you are recording! I'll be watching for more videos.

Ive got two an only had a half a foot of the ground hovver ( they have been in the model shop about three months) the new had slight damage to the tail but looked cosmetic only ? Any way he spassed it on to his mate now. its all stock bar carbon fibre blades been oloking at new radio gear at wk-1001 (about £100). Been flying a twister bell in the mean time . Im lossing faith ! thinking of a tex rex but ther well expensive . Must admit no flights over last few weeks with overtime at work ! Also got syma dragon fly 2 channal to go back to that when I lose faith . other upgrade i have condisered are the metal head lipo battery brushless and esc but it all adds up ! can you fly these thinfgs stock ? Oh where did trining gear come from ? look differnt to mine ? Would you also recomed in door flying ?

Finally did a successful hover test today. I drained a whole battery without breaking anything. Now I am hooked. Of course this is my second ship. I bought a Exceed Eagle 50 and was too confident and wrecked it. So I wised up and got a better deal on a 22e (same pos) and now use the Eagle 50 for spare parts.

The flybar paddles should have no pitch. The PIT and PLT knobs affect the pitch of the main blades, but you have to switch DIP switch 8 on the back of the Tx to UNLOCKED.
