I have seen that heli. Its a 7Ch indoor one.. really small smaller that the DF4. but have'nt seen it fly yet..
by the looks of it, it is very hard to fly since it is like a smaller brother of the DF22E with all the controls and stuff... hehehe
i want to see some video of that if flight. It is also expensive it sell with the same price as a stock DF36

If you mean the 22E I have found it a dream to fly.

neweheliflyer -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (5/22/2006 7:59:19 PM)

Walkera No. 52 is lot smaller than the Walkera No. 22E (22E Video)

I think it may be difficult to fly the Walkera No. 52 too for the beginners.

heli-john -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (5/22/2006 9:02:42 PM)

Well yes because it is sub micro size, about the same as Dexterity and bigger than Micron but my point was that the 22E is a dream. I am awaiting my 52. I will let you know.

soneebee -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (5/23/2006 12:25:46 PM)

Hey guys I stumble around the net and found this small 52 heli short video.. kinda cute it can hover and move like the regular electric helis kinda fast too compare to the double bladed lamas... but still I think this will be a very hard begginer heli to fly.. look at the video that it is too aggresive...

twisted-pixel -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (5/23/2006 1:40:13 PM)

I love the look of this heli, and ccpm instead of the fixed pitch of the micron.

size wise there's not much in it, but the videos of the micron make it look very stable, I'd prefer to see someone flying the 52# in a rock steady hover, or smoothly flying it

heli-john -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (5/23/2006 2:22:16 PM)

The Micron is a fair bit smaller, it makes a lotta difference.
Listen to the sound of the rotor of the 52 - lovin' it - typical of Walkera stuff and so much like a full size ship.

twisted-pixel -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (5/23/2006 2:27:02 PM)

you are correct, I mis-calculated (something to do with inches...what are they???)

the micron
blade length 209mm
overal1 length 228

the 52#
blade length 340
overall length 350

but still small enough to fly round the house...this is what I'm more interested in.

soneebee -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (5/23/2006 4:20:01 PM)

This heli has a metal frame.. complete CCPM and looks like a small DF22E. It is a 7Ch TX PCM type with a 6Ch PCM RX.. I think Walkera is doing big leaps on there new products.. even with all the bad publicity.. I still find Walkera to be a good company with alot of future ahead of them... only problem is this DF52 costs as much as the DF36 stock.. darn for this small heli...

heli-john -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (5/24/2006 3:20:11 PM)

Yes and me. 30cm is really about the right size for flying in the house but 34 should be OK.

Sluggecko -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (5/25/2006 7:48:19 PM)

Hey men (sorry for my english, i'm french) i've bought one and he's really great. Only **** i have is that the tail rotor really sucks. I flied with it 3 minutes and the tail rotor doesn't work anymore cause of the "roll". you see? i mean the same mecanism you can find in th cloks.... So now my DF 52 is an autogear ****ing bird. It sucks. I hope someone have a DF 52 and could help me on that problem. How could i customize the tail rotor...? (and the new "roll" is selling with the big "roll" for main rotor, so it's about 15€. See it here : HM-052-Z-15 - Gear on http://www.rc-fever.com/HM-052-Z-c-66.html

heli-john -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (5/25/2006 11:00:23 PM)

Sluggecko -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (5/26/2006 10:21:56 AM)

You know the roll/whell has teeths (en français on parle de dents) and all of this theets as disapear cause of the roll/wheel is bad fixed.

heli-john -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (5/26/2006 3:27:12 PM)

olivierk -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (5/26/2006 6:38:13 PM)

Sluggecko,
Bonne chance.
O.

Sluggecko -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (5/27/2006 12:25:04 AM)

Merci O.
Thank you all.
I'll send you videos if possible, you will see how speed and agressive flyer is the DF52!

Sluggecko -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (5/27/2006 12:31:30 AM)

Ah j'oubliais :
Tx a lot.

apdavies -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (5/31/2006 7:10:02 PM)

Hi all, I am now the proud owner of one of these but I am having trouble controlling it. It is aggressive but I think its partly due to the Tx you get with it. Its difficult to tune the throttle and pitch curves with it. I have a Futaba FF7 that I would like to use with it but the DF52's Walkera RX601 receiver refuses to work with it. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong or will this receiver not work with a Futaba Tx ?

I'm sure with my FF7 and some tunning I can get it as sweet as my 36.

heli-john -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (5/31/2006 9:11:50 PM)

There has been a bit said about the Walkera Rx not working with other Txs but you will have to do a search. I think they found the Tx will operate different Rx but not vice versa.

Bandit44 -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (6/3/2006 3:18:06 PM)

OK kind of a nub here but I wanna strip my 52 and install all new servos,gyro,speed controller and receiver.It says the receiver acts as a mixer/esc/gyro/and forgot last one.My question is the Speed controller and the mixing.What would I have to do to set up mixing or can I use my TX to do this.I have a Futaba 7ch PCM.Any help would be good.Even a list of servos,gyros,receiver,esc and whatever else I'd need would be appreciated.I really want to gut all the walkera out of it.

ptremb -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (6/4/2006 6:32:03 AM)

To do that you have a few choices.Not having one of these to look at I don't know the size of the components so I will list 3 different methods
#1
1)cirrus mrx6 receiver (6ch),or your choice of micro rx such as gws r-6n
1)5A brushed esc for main
1)3A brushed esc for tail
1)pg-03 gyro with case removed to lighten
3)servos of appropriate size
all components used have the standard size plugs and require revo mix setup

#2
1)blue arrow BA-R3P6 J (6ch),or your choice of nano rx
1)5A brushed esc for main
1)3A brushed esc for tail
1)blue arrow G2J1 NANO GYRO,or pg-03 gyro with case removed to lighten and connectors changed to match setup
3)servos of appropriate size
all components used have the smaller jst type plugs and smaller wire to keep things light and require revo mix setup

#3
1)blue arrow BA-R3P6 J (6ch),or your choice of nano rx with micro jst connectors
1)blue arrow BA-MB-HE02 3-in-1 Mixerboard with micro jst connectors
3)servos of appropriate size with micro jst connectors
no esc's/gyro or revo mix needed as 3in1 does this for you
the lightest setup of all
hope this helps

Sluggecko -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (6/4/2006 7:59:22 PM)

I confirm. It is unpossible to use Futaba with DF52.

Bandit44 -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (6/4/2006 8:37:10 PM)

Ok besides the fact that you need to use the Walkera radio.How does this little bird fly.Mine wont be here until thursday at the earliest.I've yet to read a good review on flight stability and set-up difficulties.That video of the guy flying it on the bed isn't enough for me.I'll post a review after I get it before I dismantle the electronics.Possibly even a video unless I have major problems setting it up or if it's defective.I like the look of the heli and once I paint the fuselage and get all the walkera electrics out of it .It should be quite nice.Better looking than the Dexterity 3d Heli.

BTW ptremb I went with option #3 Got the receiver,3 in 1,and crystals from www.flying-kit.com Just gotta find some servos.I read that the servos are 4.3gm I can get some a little smaller.Thanks for your help.Hopefully I can set it up right when it all comes.

ptremb -> RE: Walkera No. 52 - Indoor 6Ch Helicopter (6/4/2006 10:16:46 PM)

Blue Arrow makes a 3.6 and 4.3g servos with the small jst connector.I have a dexterity with the early setup(2esc's & gyro)with the 3.6g servos.My gyro died shortly after I got the heli and they had me send back the pair and they are sending me the 3in1.servos and rx have been glitch free so far.
The 3in1 is also used in the new micron package,and from I hear its been flawless once you get it setup,better than the mixeron board, It also has a lipo alarm(led) built in selectable for 2or3 cell
