Status: offline 		I went to the Himoto racing site and the have two 1/8 scale trucks. Looks like they're built on the Hurricane chassis. The Volcano's fun but the old man needs more power! . I'm looking for a basher for the backyard and about. I've been looking at the Savage X and it looks pretty tough. (BTW they have some gear stripping problems too.) There's no prices posted on the site for the Himoto. I betcha the stuff on that site will be the new stuff out from Redcat.http://www.himotoracing.com Check It Out!

Status: offline 		Well i almost bought the Traxxas Revo, its a really nice truck. The only reason i didnt buy it is because it was expensive. Its a good backyard basher. I dont know about the redcat 1/8ths never seen a review on em.

Status: offline 		just a heads up for you there is a redcat 1/8th coming in june or july called the earthquake nice name ya notiuce all of the redcats are named after a natural disaster HAHA LOL

Status: offline 		The Himoto and the Redcat are made by HSP.

The Redcat Hurricane and the Himoto Torpeda are a rebadge of the HSP Bazooka. All three are 1/8 and they go very well and are strong (don't mean you can't break them)

The 1/8 truck is a version of the buggy. I race a Himoto Torpeda and a friend has a Tornado from HSP which is what you described you saw on the Himoto site.

They are every bit as strong and durable as the Redcat Hurricane as reviewed. There only let down is the quality of the body shell.

All parts except the arms and shafts are the same as the Hurricane and the one my friend got came with a .27 Infinity.

He has also added hop up parts from Kyosho to his truck as most of the set up is an exact copy.
