For those running the YS110-what prop did you find best? I put the 16x4W on it for balancing purposes but am unsure if this would be the right choice?

I''ve got a 16x6 on mine and it still revs a little high. I''m going to try a 16x8 next time I get to the LHS. That''s with 30% Cool Power.

I''m going to be putting a Saito 150 on mine (ordering the plane tomorrow but already have the engine looking for a home). Since i am overpowering it, I was thinking of using a 3 bladed prop. Does anyone else use 3-bladed props on their Aerobatic/3d planes? I was going to try 16x8 and 14x9. Any reason why i shouldn''t use 3 blades?

Thanks for the info.

My Edge 540 repair is complete.
http://www.vlsdynamics.com/rc/planes/seagull_edge_540_repair.htm

It's suppose to rain here this weekend, but I should be able to get it back in the air next week.
I put my Four-Star-40 back together and flew it a little while the Edge was out of commission.

Nope. The LHS doesn't have one, so I'll have to add it on to my next Tower order. I do think that a 16x8 will be the one to use, though.

Well my lhs had one so I scooped it up and threw it on after balancing. I got it started up but forgot to bring the tach out so I will get those numbers tonight at the field. What an awesome running engine! Could not believe the transition from idle to full and vise versa.....nice!

I maidened it today! It was awesome! I think the motor could have produced more power but I kept it a tad rich due to the cold. It was a great 2 flights with lots of power. What fuel are you guy's using with the YS's? I use wildcat 15%/18%oil. Is this good for this motor?

Try some Cool Power 30% helicopter fuel. It'll give you a higher top end and a more reliable idle. You'll need to adjust the needles a little. It also has 20% to 22% oil. The YS engines love this stuff.
what prop were you using.

I have some of that fuel on hand actually. I run it in one of my saito's. I ran it today with a 16x8 APC prop.

Hello G-Pete i need to ask you a few tinks because i´m planing to build this plane with a Peack 26cc that is similar to yours. So can you post some pictures on your firewall so i could see how much i need to cut because of the rear carb, and also of the cowl. And also were did you locate the CG?

I flew the crap out of this plane today and it was a blast. It hovers at just under 1/2 stick and pulls out with authority. Using the 16x8 right now and will try the 16x6 next. I got 2 hours of flight out of it tonight. What a gas!
