Status: offline 		I have the stock walkera tx which came with my DF40.heres my question...on the back of th tx their is a row of little switches.(elev,aux wing throttle emp. and so on.
In the manul that came with the 40 they show these switches but don't say which pos each switch is supposed to be in...can any one help with this?

Status: offline 		Those are the servo reversing switches, if everything is working as expected then simply leave them alone.

The only "dangerous" one (assuming someone has been playing with them) is the throttle. If the ESC arms by pushing the throttle stick forwards then you need to change the switch to the other setting.

Having checked the throttle FIRST, move on to checking the servo directions for the remaining controls. Use the flybar paddles as your guide. With the flybar aligned with the fus, the ail control should tilt the flybar in the direction of the ail stick. Likewise with the flybar out to the sides, it should follow the movement of the ele stick. (Push ele stick forwards, flybar tilts forwards.)

dannoh ill check the dip switches once i get home and place the correct settings here... I to have a DF 40 it a cool heli bt you need to do alot of setting before you can make this bird fly stable... if you want you can visit the other forums i have posted all the things I have done with my DF40

Status: offline 		thanks so much.I look forward to hearring from you and every one else who owns on of these DF40's. My main reason for starting out with a 40 is that they are so cheep.I paied like $160.oo u.s. for a rtf. I had read that some people don't like the tail motor but I assume most of the burn-outs happen durring the more power consumming 3D flight stuff so at my skill level I don't think I should have any trouble. besides, I crashed my first one and the parts list came to $130.oo so I just orderred a new one and figure I have about $200.oo worth of spair parts. I built a hover jig and had a friend check it out with his heli and it worked great. he said he whishes he had it when he was learnning so I totally ready for my 40 to get here any day now.I hovered my friends ESKY just fine in less then five minutes.

Status: offline 		The DF40 is a good heli but mine did not come RTF out of the box i still did alot of things just to make my heli hover. and up to this time my df40 still is not that easy to fly. It hovers but its kinda hard to maintain it in a steady flight. I guess there are really some heli designs that are not the easy to fly. The tail motor does burn easily because of the amount of power required from such a small motor. A N30 will last around 20 - 30 flights before it starts to wear down ans stop working.. but if you add heatsinks it will give you around 5 more extra.. but in Lipos I cannot recommend you to fly continues this will surely burn the tail motor alot faster.. overall I love my DF40 hjave made a very long thread on this heli and the things I did and learned. if you want you can
