Can someone please make a list of parts most likely to break on the Tower Terror (excluding the wheelie bar and stock engine... we already know they break a lot! )? I would like to stock up on parts so I don't have to wait a week for a part to arrive because my LHS doesn't stock TT parts!

Front bumper, wheels and you have a 50/50 chance of stripping the hub when you remove the nut. They must use some kind of super tough glue at the factory because it seems like about half of the original wheel mounts I remove strip the threads off when the nut comes loose. The shocks have brittle shafts, probably harder than .... oh well, you know. A pair of them complete is 21 dollars. You can buy shock parts, but every time I broke one, there was no getting the shock apart. Do not buy any hinge pins or control arms, you will put an S bend the chassis plates first. If you hit something that hard, you will need the long center drive shaft. Really, as long as you do not hit anything, they are really tough. BB

It is a little after 3:00AM and I just finished Beaker's truck, it now has a Hot Bodies header, an Ofna 086 pipe and and Axial 32 on it. I thought I was done and then the throttle servo was too weak to open the Axial, so I moved the steering servo over and put a 144 oz steering servo on. We have action now. When I get up later today, I will go try out my newly restored to service Terror. Nothing quite like that first tuneup and drive. This 32 has been on a savage and developed a leaky front bearing. It has a Picco bearing now and is ready for some abuse! BB

Just for your enjoyment! Front to rear, Orion 26 (Picco) Ofna 26 (Picco) and two Axial 32s. Beakersafreak's old truck is the farthest away. BB

Who makes Tower Hobbies servos? Tower Hobbies says they are "Manufactured to the highest quality standards" but on my brand new TT the throttle servo broke without warning during the 4th tank during break in. Customer support sent me a new Futaba servo (apparently they don't trust their own servos[)]) but as I was installing the throttle servo I somehow broke the metal geared steering servo and now its another week of waiting for a servo to come in the mail... Why do they put these cheap servos in the truck if they know they will have to replace them? Also has anyone put a rollbar on this truck? Would a Savage one work? I have also heard that an HPI pullstart will work on the stock .25 but which pullstart? Lastly, does anyone make a skidplate for this truck?

The Tower servos are junk, but they do send out nice Futaba servos as replacements.

Somebody rated my one of my axle help photos a 3! This is kind of disappointing, I thought the help photos would get a good rating. Oh well, look at how they bash You Tube Videos. BB

I thought they were good BB. They came just in time too. I twisted my right front axle Sunday, and now I have to order some from Tower. I wish they just sold the dogbones seperate, cause thats all I need. Oh well. It gave me some time to disassemble and do a clean up. Replace the one way, and put in a hi torque Futaba that Tower sent me for the throttle. I had been using a standard Futaba for throttle and it was way sluggish, and I wasn't getting quite full throttle. I'll see how this one works

Does anyone make a roll bar, stronger wheelie bar or skid plate for the Tower Terror? I hear that an HPI pullstart will fit the .25 but which one?

Beaker's Terror rides again! I did not bring a body with me so I did not try a concrete wheelie but in the video, you can see a little of the 32s power. The surface was full of dips and bumps, which promoted the sideways tumble, I kept letting off to keep a little control. That 086 pipe sure makes a 32 sound high pitched. My camera man was new to my camera and had a hard time keeping up, imagine that.... the throttle servo, which had been the steering servo was dying as well, shortly after the video ends, we had to quit, no throttle. It was not always getting full throttle. Maybe tomorrow... BB

edited... spelling again....

Hi guys, I received my Tower Terror last week. Started it up and drove it for about 5 mins before the steering servo quit working. Also noticed that the throttle servo wasn't strong enough to open the throttle all the way. I called Tower and the sent me replacement servo's for both. They sent me a Hobbico CS-70MG for the steering and a Tower Hobbies TS-53 for the throttle. Both are working good but i have now ran into another problem. The steering servo arm is interfering with the throttle servo arm. When I Turn left, it binds up the throttle servo either making it impossible to give gas, or if I'm already on the gas causing the throttle to stick open until I straighten out the wheels. Looking at it, the Hobbico servo arm is longer and a little wider than the original servo arm. I tried to cut off the last hole in the arm to shorten it, but it's still hitting. For you guys who have replaced the servo's (almost everyone) did you have this problem, and if so what did you do to fix it? It really sucks turning right all the time. Thanks in advance, Chris

I just used the original arms. Only replaced the servos. They should fit for you

I used the original servo arm for the throttle, but the original servo arm for the steering in a little bigger than the new servo shaft and it starts to slip after a while. Just to make sure, I tried to put the new servo arm on the old servo but it won't go up there because the arm is smaller.

As I remember when they sent me the Hobbico replacement for the steering it only came with one HUGE arm now that you mention that, but I have a lot of servo arms from my days of RC flying. It's all starting to come back to me now. I did change it and I think that Futaba servo arms have a smaller diameter. BudBud should be able to tell you, cause he's the answer man. With these things necessity is the mother of invention

You could also change the throw on your throttle servo by moving your servo arm and then resetting the length of the carb rod at th
