Turbojimmy,
Downhome4x4,

It runs great. Here's a rundown of the day's carnage:

- an axle fell out on a tight turn. The set screw was loose
- I spun it into a curb and ripped the wheelie bar off of it
- Without the wheelie bar it flipped itself over going stupid fast and skidded about 40 feet on the cylinder head.
- I ran it into my brother's truck and busted his tie rod end (the Tower Terror held up well).

We decided that the cul de sac was too close-quarters so we went to a local field. Without the wheelie bar the Terror wants to flip itself over - a lot. The truck got good and muddy but performed nearly flawlessly. It still stalls on the transition between high and low throttle once in a while. I think it's a bit on the rich side still, but that's okay. We packed it in when my brother got in my way again and we broke the same tie rod end again on his truck.

It's been TONS of fun. My only complaint is that the servo for the throttle/brake is really sensitive to moisture. Driving through damp grass it malfunctioned and I took it off and dried it out. It did it again when I hosed it off (I was very careful not to get the electronics wet, but evidently some water splashed on it).

I Just ordered mine on december 22-06, I'll definately add the 16.00 to the 20.00 gift certifcate, to have the electric start. I've torn up to many starters on big blocks. I even crack the glow plug partially loose to lose some compression on start ups. I have the packs and the chargers so why not!! The terror looks like a hellish good time. I won't cry to much if i destroy it versus my Lst, or my revo with the rb .23 big block.

just put your finger over the end of your pipe it will stop instantly. that's what i d and it works great

I don't know about you, but my fingers are made of skin and fleshy stuff. That muffler/exhaust is HOT. I did put rag over it and it shuts it down pretty quick. Thanks for the tip!

I would like to hear your comparison of durability on it. I've had a few nitro MTs and would not mind trying this one out. A lot of people have got bad opinionsof it just because of the name.

Here's where the wheelie bar broke. Didn't come clean off, but it broke where the most pressure is. The part on the right is where it bolts to the rear differential. The part that snapped was on the bottom, where most of the torque is. You can't get just the mount (which is all I need) - you have to get the whole 'kit' with the rest of the wheelie bar. I also attached a pic after I cleaned it up. We beat the crap out of it today and it did really well.

i don't have a Tower Terror, I was thinkg about getting one but i went with a Monster GT. I'm just here to try and help out as much as I can.

Turbo... I have done the finger trick for some time now...on both plastic ans metal pipe and have not burned my finger yet. Now I have burned it whin I was trying to pinch the fuel line.

I really appreciate the suggestion. I might have mine too lean because it gets pretty hot. Putting a rag or the sleeve of my jacket over the muffler (it's metal) shuts it off right away so it does work. Much better than pulling the body off and pinching the fuel line. I've burned my fingers doing that too!

Downhome4X4,

Thanks for all your help.
How is the Monster GT? Any pics?
I almost bought that one myself, but I went with the Tower Terror MT; decided to try something different.

Chriswebb, speaking of fuel, is it possible your fuel is causing the issues?

I just got 2 of these for my 8y/o and I. 1 ran great right out of the box, the other had a few issues with needle settings. I got them straightened out, and it's breaking in nicely. 3 tanks through so far. I have a few questions still:

1.) The online manual says the low speed needle is on the rubber boot side of the carb? If so, what's the screw for under the HS needle adjustment? 3 screws, HS, LS, and?

2.) The one truck under hard breaking, turns one way...it does not stop straight? How can this be adjusted?

3.) Before I turn this over to the 8y/o, is there anything I should look at? Tighten? Adjust? Change?

That'll do it for now. The wheelie thing is cool for about 3 min, then it gets anoying. Great truck otherwise though.
