Personally, I think it looks strange, but you never know performance until a review comes up or you get it for yourself. I'm gonna wait until someone gets it and puts up a review. [:D]

redbarton -> RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR (5/24/2006 6:45:53 PM)

"Looks" like it might be a nice entry level ride. If parts support is sufficient, it might be a good way to introduce somebody into the hobby. Definitely a Savage clone on a smaller scale though. I guess we shall see if it's decent when some reviews pop up.

if it weren't for the short wheelbase, i would think its a trinity spyder knock-off because of the tank

FE_Chris -> RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR (5/25/2006 3:45:34 AM)

Generally with cheap RC, thats the case. Someone buy one and let us know if it's tough or not [;)]

Isn't a .25 quite a big engine for a 1/10th ? Even the new Traxxas engine is only a .20

Sepearte note altogether. My 100th Post, Woohoo[:)]

duckedup -> RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR (5/25/2006 8:05:02 PM)

78oz is high torque huh? [:)]lolz ..... I'd probably avoid this one[:'(]

silverman1 -> RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR (5/27/2006 1:30:28 AM)

Good trucks don't have to cost 400 + My cen Mt2 was 249.00 and i love that truck for durability, and fun. Its also very fast. Look at the TNX, its priced real nice, and is a real screamer and a handler, I'll take it over my 400+ revo any day.

Like others have said lets just wait and see[:D]

G.W.K. -> RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR (5/31/2006 12:48:07 AM)

Here in Germany this thing is called "track-sau(track-pig)".
I´ve seen a vid and it is f***ing fast and a wheely-machine as it´s best.
It hasn´t much features, but where isn´t much, there cannot break much.
It seems very durable so.
The only prob here in Germany is, that they want 400€(~510$) for it...

jbb6789 -> RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR (5/31/2006 3:00:12 AM)

with that engine it seems pretty powerful

guy4x4 -> RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR (6/2/2006 9:57:37 AM)

Is the ST-15 a rebadge of some other truck?

tashspop -> RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR (6/2/2006 5:02:06 PM)

i think its sweet looking, but com'on 19mm hex wheels. they suck so bad for that.

I never found that one out. Tower might have possibly had someone (Duratrax, HPI, Traxxas, etc) make it for them exclusively.

Rc EnthuSiasTs -> RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR (6/21/2006 5:24:12 PM)

Not to upset anyon ebut i think it looks cheap. I would spend another 70 dollars and get a mgt 4.6 at ultimatehobbies.com. The mgt is a great competitor. But i admit i was surprised at the wheelie action.

WO -> RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR (6/28/2006 3:28:06 AM)

The Tower 25 looks good on paper and only $300 us dollars here. Why do they burn you in Germany? wo

pythonfan -> RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR (6/28/2006 9:41:43 PM)

Just Backordered the truck!

pythonfan -> RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR (6/28/2006 9:59:42 PM)

I just got off the phone with my best freind that works at tower and he works in the design part of tower and he told me eveything about this truck!

1. Hpi/HotBodies Helped make the truck.
2. The engine design was helped with OS.
3. Those 19mm hexes came from hotbodies part of the truck, as well as the, bumbers, Wheels and tires, 19mm Hex's, Shocks.
4. Hpi Did the rest.
5. Tower helped with the body and other stuff.

Wide Open -> RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR (6/28/2006 10:04:33 PM)

i thought it looked interesting, but i never knew they got those companies in on it. i wonder how good it will be[&:]

JSRacer -> RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR (6/28/2006 10:44:55 PM)

Surely Hotbodies and HPI wouldn't make this truck any better than their own. [;)]

Chronic -> RE: Tower Hobbies Nitro TOWER Terror MT .25 RTR (6/29/2006 12:03:33 AM)

That's interesting. It really does look just like the Zircon MT made by Flying Point Enterprises, except for a few details. I like it... I'm not sure WHY, but I do. The idea of an 8 pound MT that utilizes the TVP chassis design and comes equipped with a .25 big block sounds nice. I would like to make some extended TVPs for one and then drop it down on some HPI Nubs. You know that thing would be fun at the track after you got it dialed in.

I can only see one problem... where on earth would you find parts for something like that? [;)]
