RC_Man

I'm working on several projects right now. Fortunatly, its mostly just finishing things others have done.

First up is a rebuild of my Cyclone, which I crashed at Deland last year. Needs new wings, and fuselage repairs. Plus a new paint job.

Following that, I'll be finishing an Air Magic F5b that was built for me by Jeff Daly (he's delivering it on the 30th. Can't wait!) It's about 95% complete, including a super paint job.

After that I've got an Aeroworks 29% Edge 450 to complete. It was also built by a friend, Ed Wynot from the club I belong to. He built the kit and delivered it covered. Basically, it's an ARF, all I have to do is install the equipment.

I've already fixed up my DL Aeromodeles Airmacchi MB339 ARF after the few short flights I got on it during the last half of the summer. It had some teething problems, but look like I've got it sorted out.

I'm awaiting a new canopy for the Carl Goldberg Staudacher I use as my beater.

The Projeti now has a new prop and is also ready for more fun.

And finally, the GiantScalePlanes.com 80" Cap 232 is ready to go with new landing gear. The supplied landing gear only left 1" of ground clearance with the G-62 and 22x10 prop. Now I have 3" of clearance.

I may be broke, but I'm gonna have a bunch of fun this coming season!

All the best,
...jim

Hey Ron S,

What is that!

FalconWings -> RE: New Stealth Aircraft (7/7/2004 8:51:37 PM)

I know I shouldn't be saying this, bu that is a Lockheed-Rockwell YF-37, being test flown somewhere over the Pacific.

It is supersonic, very supersonic.

What is the name of the movie/TV show ?

Modelman -> RE: New Stealth Aircraft (7/7/2004 9:39:59 PM)

It's a new Movie called "Stealth" from Phoenix Pictures -

Overview

U.S. Navy pilots BEN GANNON, KARA WADE, and HENRY PURCELL are at the cockpits of fearsomely advanced "Talon" fighter jets, but...

An intelligent, next-generation drone fighter plane develops a mind of its own and an American pilot must go up against it.

Stealth promises to be a high octane, glued-to-your-seat, action-packed adventure. It recently ended primary filming in Australia. The movie now moves to post-production, and will be completed and in theatres by 2005.

Josh Lucas .... Lt. Ben Gannon
Jessica Biel .... Lt. Kara Wade
Jamie Foxx .... Lt. Henry Purcell
Joe Morton .... Commander Clint "Hud" Huddle
Ebon Moss-Bachrach .... Josh Trent
Sam Shephard .... Captain George Cummings

you need to leave the fish tug on the string a little longer! [&:]

Modelman -> RE: New Stealth Aircraft (7/7/2004 10:11:02 PM)

Ron, I thought about that right after I submitted the reply... [:@]

Next time I let it ride for a while longer...[:D]

FalconWings -> RE: New Stealth Aircraft (7/7/2004 10:18:29 PM)

For the record I thought the pictures were real until I saw a good looking woman test pilot?

I even came up with Lockheed-Rockwell.[:D]

Well, so much for the YF-37.[:@]

MHall -> RE: New Stealth Aircraft (7/8/2004 12:58:47 AM)

The chains on the mains killed it for me!! But you had me going for a minute.[:D][8D]

warbird51 -> RE: New Stealth Aircraft (7/8/2004 4:49:07 PM)

The wing pivot structure and the length of the engine bay was suspicious for me . And the canopy fit also was a give-away. those wings would fold as soon as you g-load them.[&:]

Modelman -> RE: New Stealth Aircraft (7/8/2004 5:40:16 PM)

I noticed the Film Crew operating the Panaflex Camera in the pic in post 10
and again in the second pic in post 12. [:D]

Already been said but the hot girl in the pilots seat was a dead give away[;)]

bigchap -> RE: New Stealth Aircraft (7/8/2004 11:31:33 PM)

you suckered me there!even the pilot didn't get me suspicious!,i'm just going to have a lay down.

MHall -> RE: New Stealth Aircraft (7/9/2004 1:35:37 AM)

I figured the camera crews were just filming the test launches. The wings did look a little weak and the body panels are a bad fit. But, I would like to see someone make a model and fly it!!! [8D]

Chris Z -> RE: New Stealth Aircraft (7/9/2004 12:05:17 PM)

Hey guys, I just came back from Nellis AFB on TDY for an A-10 upgrade.
While out there, I met alot of the A-10 pilots and a couple were very attractive women HOG drivers. I was very impressed.
Chris

FalconWings -> RE: New Stealth Aircraft (7/9/2004 4:38:03 PM)
