OK...I returned the 2.5x3" pipe and found the 2.5 sq. pipe at the local True Value hardware, got the yardsticks and even got a plywood remnant for free. There was a post about mom and pop hardware shops-definitely the way to go.
Bought a 4x8 sheet of red Coroplast. Going to build the Dominator instead of the DPS. I like the tailwheel and the fact that you can do the entire project with 4mm coro. My local plastic shop said 2mm coro is special order. Really?
I'll post some photos when I get done.

Glad you found it all. The dominator and DPS are very similar, the main difference is in using 2 mil for the top of the wing. that, and the reshaped tail feathers.
I am pretty sure that you should be able to find some 2 mil locally. See if there is a Ge polymer shapes there, or a Tubelite. You'll more likely than not have to deal with the sign shop's supplier, and not the sign shops.

Ah, Deigo aint that far, here's a good place to start looking:

Rock on!!!!
Believe it or not, but the Dominator and the DPS are not all that much different! The Dominator is our first really successful design that everything is based from...and the DPS is basically a Dominator with a different wing (for those who can get 2mm coroplast) and a differently shaped tail.

Yes, 2mm is usually a special order item, because it's not used much in the sign business...so...here's your mission...get so many guys to start flying Spads, that the local shop gets so tired of special ordering 2mm coroplast...that they just start stocking it!!!

Thanks for the support, ChrisSpad and Tattoo. I went to
the link for Regal Plastics and the post below that mentioned they have a store in Santa Fe Springs-very close by. I may have to order from them and have it drop shipped to Santa Fe Springs.
Back to the shop....

I couldn't find 2 mil coroplas anywhere. So what I did for the top of the wing is used 4 mil but ran the fluting the same way as the bottom of the wing. I had to cut out some of the flutes so that I could get the wing to conform properly. Only cut out every other flute to keep some strength.

I had to cut out 3 flutes on the leading edge where it wrapped around the bottom half, two flutes where it met the spar and one flute where it met the bottom half at the back. It worked and the plane flys great....just got back from a real windy session just now. The plane is a hoot!

Instead of a yardstick, I used doorstop...which is the piec of wood that goes all around your door jamb where it meets the door and stops it from swinging the other way. It's about an inch by 1/4" thick...it was cheaper than a yard stick and came in a 7' length. I cut one length at 4' and glued the 3' length centred on the 4' lenght to give lots of strength.

Hope this helps....
