well since my sts 28 shut itself right off, im guessing that the hsn and lsn were a little rich, but i looked at the lsn and it is sticking waaaay out

so should the head of the screw be flush w/ the socket holder thing?

or should it stick out?

Start it flush then go from there. It's always better to work from the rich side then lean down than it is to be lean and work up.

I think if you set your LSN flush it may be on the lean side. Nine came out of the box like yours did . with the LSn sticking out a bit I broke it in that way then started tuning for performance. I should have checked too see what the starting point was before i started tuning but I didn't. all I know is that it is not like the NS.25 were the starting point is flush.

A3 is too hot of a plug. Well it really depends on a couple of criterias (sp??)

Plug use depends of what type/level/grade of fuel you run and, importantly, the climate at the time you're running. Add in the engine size (in your case it's a STS .28 duh..)

Provide your fuel type and the day's climate and perhaps we can go further.
