one week ago i bought one of those big air filters with the round sponge. it has a L bend that comes with it. i cable tided the L bend to the round air filter thing ( i dont no the name for it, it looks like a high flow air filter like they use on cars but just smaller ). then i cable tided it to the carbi, but when you want to put the after run in you have to cut te cable tie to put it in and you carnt leave it without one because when the motor is started it comes off. So today when i drove it i put the standard one that came with the car back on and i couldnt feel the differents 0in the car. so i wanted to know if there is any differents in have a standard one on and the other 1.

the biggest difference is in the amount of run time between cleanings... the larger air filter has more surface area... the engine might breath better with it but you probably won't notice a difference.. as far as the zip tie problem... welcome to the wonderful world of nitro... stock up on zip ties.

Motor Saver sells a clamp that you can squeeze on and off for the carb. I use them on my nitro vehicles. Makes adding after run simple.
