I didn't really expect them to be a big hit at first especially in Europe. From what I gather the target market HPI was going for was the states, since large scale isn't all that popular over here yet. They aren't available to the public in the states yet, but time will till here soon

i think they would have sold alot more if they had stated a correct due date in the beginning.

I think because the pushed the date back and back and back, many customers got fed up waiting, and just bought an fg or something.

Why bother checking ebay for HPI Baja 5Bs if not interested? Consequently, if not interested why bother starting threads about such an RC? For those who are interested.... It's dang fun! For those who aren't, see ya later.

Well I've also got one and it has totally blown me away!...It's fantastic, trouble free, stable, stunning looker and great FUN.

I'm coming from nitro (T-maxx, Revo) and now will NEVER look back.

Mine looked that clean for about half a day. Myself, I also like the looks better than something like an FG Marder. And before anybody starts harping, I also own an FG though it is an onroad sedan. I also wouldn't mind owning an FG F1, but the basic model is not upgradeable to something like the Comp F1 which is a lot more than I want to drop on an R/C car that I couldn't really run around here or have anyone to run with or against. Here, I know of three others who are getting the HPI Baja 5B. One of the other LHS also has one on order. Consequently, that should be at least 4 locals and possibly 5 locals. After that, I'm sure a few others will probably order them based on the response I've seen at the local tracks and in the local hobby stores.

they seem to be selling pretty good, all the LHS are selling 2 or 3 per day, which is pretty good for something that expensive.
