I just found this good looking twin. I'm thinking about getting the plans for it. Any advice out there on this plane?

Just finished framing one up, got the plans when they came out 60? 70's? been a while. I did not put the lower wing float on instead have retract wing tip floats like PBY hope it works. As for power pair of Wankles . Has flaps and barn door alerons. Thinking of wheels like King Fisher. Tube through fuse to hold gear wire, inside fuse some type of bell crank hooked up to servo to twist gear up and down and some kind of back up block to hold gear on landing so it does not rotate or move back? Other wise it's built stock

I do not have a digi cam as of yet. The floats are just hooked up to an old Gold Berg 90 degree mech retract. I hope the 5/32 gear wire holds up, at worst on landing it will bend back but the coil spring should hold. I had a better set up but was too lazy to do it

LOL everyone is holding back until they get a dijicam. You do know you don't need one to post pics here right? Just take some regular film pictures then have a friend with a scanner scan them on a disk for ya or go by a copy shop and have them scan them to disk. I'm sure you know someone with a scanner though that would do it for free.

Oh I found a really neat way to do the landing gear on this plane. I was reading an English R/C mag and saw a guys project where he made this Russian cargo plane. It's main landing gear are located in a nacelle that looks like that lower sponsons. Well, It would be easy to make a built up one instead of that foam one and then incorporate a way to attach wheels to it. Here is a pic of an AN-28.

Guys

FYI, the Liki Tiki was designed by Jan Sakert, a U.S. Marine Warrant Officer stationed in Hawaii in the early 70's. He was a superb flyer, committed and successful pylon racer when I knew him in Southern California...(stationed at El Toro). He was partnered up with Dick Riggs and they were a tough team to beat.

The Liki Tiki was a cover model on RC Modeler Magazine, don't remember when.

Good looking, and if Jan designed it, should be a great flyer.
