Has any of the B-25 builders installed the Dynamic Balsa Bombardirer Greenhouse detail. I just started looking at my installation and I see a lot of problems. The first thing they ask you to do is move the nose gear back so it is totally behind F3. If I were to do that, the nose wheel would be in the wrong place, the gear doors would be in the wrong place. For true scale this would be a disaster. Any comments from those that have installed the Bombardier greenhouse deatail would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to duplicate the Full Scale PBJ that is currently undergoing restoration at Camarillo Airport. This PBJ has the glass nose. If I must have part of the nose gear showing then so be it.

Any comments appreciated,

Happy Holidays,

Iran Ausley

I just started building my Ziroli B-25 118". Question, do I use (wing spar) WS-1 or WS-4 for the removable wing option? Any guidance would be appreciated.

D.J.

I just found this forum and was very impressed. Maybe I'll go out in the garage and start my Ziroli B-25 about 7 months earlier than I had planned. You guys have all done well and should pat yourselves on the back. Keep up the good work!

Hi 1Wolf,

I am out of the B-25 business. The 118" that I was building was supposed to go the Museum where I worked on a PBJ-1J to fly. This PBJ is the last of the Navy PBJ's in existance. I am no longer on that project and with no room at home for a 10' wingspan A/C I sold off all of my B-25 stuff. It was fun when it lasted but I am now concentrating in things that I can keep at home comfortably. Things like R/C Tanks, Trucks, and boats.

Hope everyones projects are proceeding nicely.

Regards,

ir3

Winter has had its impact on me here in Central Oregon. Temps have been below 0 at times, and only up into the teens more often. My version of "In the Mood" was waiting for 50 degree weather to paint the OD on the cowls and front of the windscreen. That is done, now I have to mask and paint the yellow/blue on the vertical tails and add the tail numbers. Should happen this week I hope. Then, on to installing the engines and gear.

In the meantime, I have been finishing up my Proctor Jenny, which only needs the wing rigging and it'll be ready to fly. It seems that I can't keep focused on only one airplane .

As soon as I have the B25 together, I'll take some pictures and post them here. It's really a beautiful airplane to model. Mine isn't contest quality, but it was sure fun to build, and I hope it'll be as fun to fly. I'll keep you posted. Lee

Well gonna be awhile before I get started on mine! Gotta save up the cash to buy the retracts! Finishing up on a Byron P-47 first then maybe get started on the B25. Fella I bought it from put fixed gear in it, and I want retracts. Have to do some structural changes to handle the retracts I think. Hey will try to keep this thread going, haven't heard from anyone here for quite awhile!

Here are some pics of our Ziroli 101". Has to Zenoah G-25s, Robart retracts, weighs between 30-40 lbs. and flies just great. It is painted in latex and water based model paints.
