I worked hard this a.m. as I received the door air cylinders yesterday in the mail. Beautiful weather got me out and flying this afternoon...nothing wrong with that! : )
Here is a shot of one of the cylinders mounted on a main door. Fits close to the retract, but fits... Will be a little bit before things are posted to my page as I have airplanes to clean up tonight. Flying the Tango gyro and the B-29 went great today!

Well enough of the 3D`s and hover mode talk. Proflooney what are you doing for retracts? And Wolf after being over at the hanger tonight I think we should post some photos of the number 1 plane on here to show the guy`s. I too would like to hear a little more about the Bomber field thing. May be a great time to meet and look at some of the other fine builders on this thread. Also Proflooney I cannot see anything on your web cam. Do I have to have a plugin or something? The rest of you guys please post locations to see your projects. Steve The Prez

I've planned 2 different trips to Bomber Field and both got nixed. First time I rented a new van, had it all loaded and ready then got a phone call from my friend in Houston that owns a hobby shop...he said the rains were coming down and the field was flooded.
Last year I had hoped to meet my friend from Mass. down there....I ended up having surgery and a plate installed in my neck instead.
I think I'm gonna have to sneak up on Bomber Field!!! After the Sept 11 ordeal in NY last year I didn't know how it would all go over. It turned out to be one of the largest events ever down there as I understand.
I suspect that the CD of the event will have a good handle on the show this year, things were not well with conflict between scale military type flight and 3-D type flight. Many upset people if I read the threads correctly.

Is there a website with information on the Sept. event? I'm not sure which one but at some point all these B-25's need to get together. Sort of a gathering of 25's

I have been a huge fan of BB Webber ever since I first heard about him many years ago. When you read anything on the Bomber Field site..it was BB that got it started...

Click on my hompage link in my signature line, then click at the top left "B-17 modeling link" for a menu containing the Bomber Field address. It's probably the first link I ever put on my orignal homepage. : )

Thanks Randy
Hey Prez check out the size of those runways even you could land a B-25 there!! We might not even have to bring spare pilots to that one. And it sounds like the pavillion has an Ed shield Oh sorry I mean head shield. Looks cool guys

Yea Guys, come on down. I'm fortunate to live less than an hour away! Bomber feild always has a great turnout. Lots of friends, food, and a good assortment of planes (these planes put me to shame). I try not to miss it ever! This would be a well worth your trip event.

I would have to agree we need to finsih our B-25's and Bring them out there. let's put the B-17's on the run!

It's my goal to try and have mine finished by the Sept flyin. Kit comes in tomorrow!

Side question, is the Top gunner ABS plastic turret a little big for the 101" ? I'm not sure, as I have not started, but looking at some photos I'm wondering.

See Ya

I thought it was! That and the blisters was what made me wonder if Ziroli used some of the same pieces for both it and the 118 I don't know if this is true or not just a theory!

I got my blosters in from Randy (Thanks again Randy) and they pretty close to scale on the 118" so I am assuming he split the Difference.

By the way where did you guys get those gunpods as mine didnt come with my plastic kit.

Joe

I don't remember now. I bought these over two years ago. I'm sure a call into Ziroli will provide the correct answer.

Well, I took my clear Top gun turret and put it up agains the plans and they don't match . I'm wondering if I was mistakenly shipped the 118" version as opposed to the 101". I guess the only way I'm gonna find out is buy a second set of clears. :

Can someone measure the dia and hight of the part for theirs and let me know.
