That time of year again, this is THE Biggest Warbird event in southwest Michigan (Maybe even ALL of Michigan). Warbirds of ALL sizes are welcome. It lasts all weekend long. Camp there if you like (no hook-ups tho, portable generators are OK), Ill be camping there there Friday evening thru Sunday afternoon, with three (3) 1/8 scale Corsairs. Some travel from Indiana and northern Michigan to attend this one. NO Landing fees. No awards, just lots of fun buzzing and strafing the runway with fellow warbird enthusiests. This event is hosted by the "C.A.R.D.S.", a Lansing, MI area club. They are great hosts. They list a "Parking Fee" ($5) on this year's flyer, but that is usually for the spectators (and they DO draw a more than a few). Here is flyer from their website: http://www.radiodrone.net/warbird_flyer_2006.PDF And their web-site: http://www.radiodrone.net/ The weather looks to have mild temps, with winds under 10mph and coming down the runway from right to left (from the north). Check it out: http://www.weather.com/weather/weekend/USMI0342?from=36hr_topnav_undeclared Hope to see a lot of you there.
