Here's another Sanford club, this time in Sanford, Florida. We are located 8 miles east of Sanford on Highway 46, about 20 miles northeast of Orlando.

We are holding our annual Fall Festival on Oct 28 - come on down!

Visit the Sanford Aero Modeler's website at www.sanfordaeromodelers.com.

I know of one other Sanford club, in North Carolina.

You can see our club field at www.wham-rc.org. Parallel grass and paved runways, 900 feet long each bearing 1 and 19. Used to be a 1/8 mile drag strip back in the 50's and 60's, our club has been there since 1970's. West Hickory Aero Modelers (Hickory, NC), 60 members; but we're closely associated with two other clubs in our area, many of us have membership in one or both of the others. We also have a lake site at our club treasurer's house on Lake Hickory, and fly there every Wed eve during DST hours.

WOW what a great post.
This is AWESOME. Littlecrankshaf your right a club is not a place its the membership.
But then again the right membership can make a lot of positive things happen.
I also like all the pictures our club here is going to be building a new site and we can get
A lot of great ideas. The web cam that updates every 5 min. how cool is that. You can see the weather conditions who's there

Here is our club, best group of people I know of... I always tell new members, we may not have a paved runway, but the people make up for it.. Very down to earth, we don't care if you fly Giant scale aerobat, or a flying ladder (we have them both!)

Here's ours http://www.granderondebushpilots.org/
Grande Ronde Bush Pilots, La Grande, Oregon. We have two fields, usually 50-60 members. We have all kinds of people, all kinds of pilots, people that build ARFs, people that only build kits, electric gurus, you name it. We always manage to have a good time.
