The current club that I belong to, and will for many years to come I hope, is the Azalea City Model Aeronautics located in Irvington, AL. The field is on an old Mobile County dump site. We have well over 50 members, and when the weather is nice (most of the time) you'll find about 20 members on any given Sunday. On the web we can be found at www.alvinrc.com/ACMA The forums are a fun place to hang out, and the "Pits Report" keeps me informed of all the things I missed when at work. If you're in the area, stop by .

We're in the process of moving due to recent nearby development

The website is a new project and should be updated soon

Interesting, over 100 posts. It seems like all but three are happy and proud of their clubs. Of the three that are not, two started their own clubs and are also major contributors to the AMA forum where they constantly deride the AMA. Does that tell us anything?

I have been a member of the STARS club in Olean, NY now for 67 consecutive years. Also an AMA member for the same length of time. I am very proud to be a part of both organizations.
I'll bet there aren't many others out there with that kind of record.

Here is one of the clubs that I belong to. The field is located in Gilbertsville,NY. It is an awesome flying field and as you can see we have alot of fun. We have our annual Hospice Benefit event coming up on July 19-20th so if you are close by, stop in, say hello and give it a try.

What else could you call the baiting post #103,
dragging this decent thread into the usual uglyness.

If Red can post off topic hate in a old thread, it must be allowed, he is a Mod after all

Thanx Red,
you just had to dredge up a month old thread that wasnt an arguement... and add some hate to it.
Well, fine, if you are gonna drag this thread into the mud with slights & hate of posters here,
we will follow you ruining this thread.

Thats it everybody,
no more nice stories about your clubs,
Red wants this thread to just be a continuation of all the other ugly bickering
RCU AMA Forum is reknown for.

Mmmmmm, Bait. Again, thanx for the BAIT there Red. Free lunch.

Everybody just type some hate in here, follow Reds path to the thread lock.

THIS POST AND REDS TOTALLY NEED TO BE DELETED BY THE REAL MODS

Red:

Yes - we are fully aware of the STARS club in Syracuse. We know many modelers from that club. I am not sure who came first. We changed our name in 1973 to Southern Tier Aero Radio Society - STARS.

Reply not to you but to the thread in general:

Interesting, over 100 posts. It seems like all but one old prima donna was perfectly happy sharing info about their clubs with others, without casting aspersions about two that started their own clubs and are also major contributors to the AMA forum. Does that tell us anything? Yes it does!

LCS-

Apparently it tells us that starting a club is considered anti-AMA in some covens. I expect many that posted in this thread had a hand in getting their clubs started. I salute them for being actively pro-modeling and don't care a whit about it being contrary to somebody's twisted objectives for AMA, ala Status Quo Über Alles.
Anyway, 99% good thread and that's way better than par. I hope it continues for a long time.

Abel

Technically, the title of the thread is SEE your club

So here is a shot of ... uh... Dick Cheney(? ) mowing our lawn.

You can barely see the orange safety net behind the starting benches but in front of the painted pit tables... it shows up if you look by the bench by the car. Pilot cages, starting benches, pit tables, safety barrier, chairs... bring a pop-up shade and you're in business.

Come on,
More pics folks

uh, perhaps I put too much emphasis on this

I sure have seen the demographic change ALOT in my 38 years in Naples Fl, considering how long we've been here,, from American to international, so when I go to the local flying field I see,

25% europeans, 25% canadians and a bunch of open border freemasons

Look at the map on their website, on TAMIAMI TRAIL which is the only thing I've ever heard it called,,, They call it campo hacienda Trail or something

They DO NOT like hearing about our constitution and judging by my deleted posts on their website, do not believe in the first amendment of the U.S Constitution

So that's my club, I guess I could move but the last time I checked, Naples Fl belonged to the United States of America!
