Hey Dokioto,

Hopefully soon, I had an Admin email me the info so I could work on it, but I am in the process of moving so I have not had too much time.

I am not amazing at nitro but I can add some info.

What Mini Is Right For Me

This is a very important question you need to ask yourself when shopping for a mini.
They are many different kinds of mini's, so.....which one is right for you.

Monster Trucks

Mini monster trucks, small but pack a punch. These traverse the terrain far greater then any other class of mini's.

Pros:
-Big and Bad to the Bone (for their size )
-High ground clearence
-Great all around vehicles
-The most durable

Cons:
-High center of gravity
-Dont corner as well compared to other mini's

Examples:
Team Losi Mini-LST
Team Losi Mini-LST2
Hot Bodies Mini-Zilla

Pros:
-Dominator on the track
-Outhandle Stadium Trucks

Cons:
-Cant take the abuse monster trucks can
-Very little ground clearence
-Can only run on fairly smooth surfaces

Examples:
Kyosho Mini Inferno
Kyosho Mini Inferno Plus ARR
Team Associated RC18B
Team Associated FTRC18B

Touring Cars

Touring cars, the best performing vehicles in the mini scene. Absolute speed demons, another great track contender.

Pros:
-Very competitive racing for on-roads

Cons:
-Very low ground clearence, limited to flat paved surfaces
-Low durability

A kit designed great out of the box does not need aftermarket.

I doubt XRAY nitro minis will not have parts at Hobbytown, at least mine does not. www.teamhelotes.com is great.

It is a kit, you add your own so you have a better quality system instead of cheapo electronics.

If they have parts then definately get that. I know my Hobbytown, and all the others around here do not carry parts, but if yours does then it's a good choice, a million times better then a Chaos.

I would use 20% nitro fuel... If you are willing to spend 500 dollars on a nitro mini then the Mini Inferno 09 is the one to get...

I believe the glow plugs for the mini infernos are also Kyosho specific, so you may want to stock up on those as well.

That is one of two reasons I didn't get one...

hi, Im getting a mini t pro. I need to know how much it will cost to put a mamba in it and wich system to get. Also what battery and charger lipo is fine or nimh packs are ok too but id prefer a lipo. and what servo and radio receiver. Also how do I know the connecters that connect the battery to the receiver will be right? And would it be better to get deans plugs? I can soldder electronics so it would be no problem doing it. and any hoop ups I should buy? I want it to be able to drive more than the first time without breaking a knuckle or camber link. Oh i will have like 400-500$ to spend. I dont need a super good servo or radio/receiver just one that works.
please list prices/pictures/links
Thanks

Most aftermarket 18th scale bodies made for the rc18t will fit the vendetta, you will just have to do some trimming on the rear due to the wing on the vendetta. Also the vendetta is a little bit wider so you may want to use a small amount of velcro on the sides to keep the body flared out and covering the entire chassis. Unfortunetly, there aren't really any aftermarket bodies out there for vendettas. I used the Proline Crowd pleazer. It looks a little funky, bit it works. Hope this helps!

Guys,

After reading this thread, I got very interested on this 1/18th electric trucks, so I am planning to buy the following setup:

Duratrax Quake SE and
Duratrax Vendetta ST RTR
Mamba Performance 5400Kv combo and competition 6800Kv
I already have Thunder Power Li-poly batteries 11.1v from my airplanes that I intend to use

Now what I want to know is, what are the components that you need to have them handy that break more easily, like, drive shafts, etc. for his two models?

I see that TH as allot of spare parts, and because I am doing an international order I would like to order everything at once, because the local shops don’t carry any of these items.
