Hey all. I have bought a Thunder Tiger starter box for the Matrix. Problem I'm having is the engine sits a little to high to be properly engaged by the starter wheel. Just wondering if a bigger flywheel can be bought/installed to allow that extra 1mm of size? Or any other ideas suggestions? Any help really welcome, having a race meet this weekend and I broke the dam things pullstarter

Although not 100% sure on the Matrix, but as someone who has done this with other R/C's I would be willing to bet you can go larger. Although it might not be made for the Matrix per say, all you need to do is find the larger wheel. Just make sure first the thickness is the same because shimming a flywheel is a no, no, then make sure that it is made for an model/engine shaft as yours, if not you will have to make sure your brass collet will work with it. I have went down in size many of times, but I wouldn't think it would be any different going up, besides aftermarket is usaully a bit lighter than stock so there shouldn't be any strain noticed by the engine by going larger. I hope this helps. It will be alot of trial and error unless you nail it right off the bat. Good luck.
