Dezfan, that sounds like a real fun car to pound a curb with!

In my opinion, the only category nitro is the "best available option" in would be "Cooler than a sissy electric vehicle". For those of us who appreciate the full-scale combustion engine, nitro will always be appealing enough for us to keep at it. I drive electrics, I have brushless, I have high-capacity packs blah blah blah but nitro got me in and nitro keeps me in. If everyone gave up on their dreams because it "wasn't viable" or "not gonna happen" we'd all be posting our messages on a cave wall.

In the meantime I'm just gonna find room on an electric crawler to mount an engine with no gears and some kind of load and just let it belch smoke and scream at my neighbors while the motor pulls it around.

Hey Ryuhito,
man you crazy heheheheh, right on brother, nitro forever, i tell you i love the electric crawler with the nitro doing nothing but scream and belch smoke, hahahahahah, thas crazy but awesome.
I was pro electric not so long ago and argued the toss all the time with my nitro buddies, till i got an OS 15 ldx block motor and tuned pipe, man that thing ran and still does and sounded so sweet that was me hooked again,i mounted it on a board with fuel tank and connected it to a 12v electric generator just so i can run it when i charge my packs, crazy huh????
then i baught my fiancee a savage 21 for christmas,i tell ya , you cant beat a savage truck going full tilt screaming and smoking arh, heaven.
If you ever heard a full size sweet tuned V8 humming away and come to think of it the small scale V8,s that sound never leaves you, what noise conparison does an electric motor have to challenge that or even a nitro engine........buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, BORING.
You cant beat the smell of nitro fuel on your hands.

Hey Dezfan, thanks for the list and pricelist, sounds like one awesome rock crawler i will pass it on to my borker bud, the way he is thinking is ,we as brokers go that little bit further for our customers and see obsticales as something to overcome. I reckon an advert with one of these trucks would do it hey????
Just watched the video, thought yeah right, damn now that is impressive never seen anything like it that before my life ,that crawler is unbelievable, now i get it with crawling.

Rickster, the first time I read it I missed it. You are using that motor to run the 12v generator? lol If so, do you have a pic? That's hilarious.

Depends on motor, gearing and voltage.

Mine is a fast walking pace.

Hi ryuhito,I will post a pic tomorrow.
yep you heard me right i use an OS 15 ldx flat block to run a 12v generator, hehehehhehe, i know thats nuts right, but i just love to run that engine and the generator gave me a good excuse to do it.
after talking about it i have totally redesigned the engine generator it was an old small wind turbine, so i have built a new frame for it and just have to get coupleing and its even better.
Its great to get it out at the rc site and charge my batts or run my power panel with it,you should see the looks I get,

Hi Ryhito here,s the picture of my nitro generator, its not like this any more still rebuilding it, putting it on a smaller board and using a direct coupling instead of a belt.

That's pretty cool

Have you put any kind of load on it to see how much current it can supply?

Hi Reiko, I regulaly use it to charge my 12v gell cell batteries it seems to cope really well with all the batteries i have it will even charge an old 12v wheelchair battery i use on the field, it also with a bit more throttle will run my power panel direct, thats glow plug power, 12v starter and fuel pump and glow charger, it will run them all except the glow charger which i have to do on its own, i suppose you could call that load testing,it really was just a crazy idea i had, really an excuse to run my os ldx,LOL.
Hi Ryuhito, hehehehe, I thought you might like that, the wind turbines sell for $20 on ebay a guy from hong kong, get one they are so much fun, you could even run it on steam, more efficient,LOL
My apologies to the thread for this little off topic.
Thanks
