I want to get a really good staggerwing beech kit, about 60 inches.... anyone know a real good one?

Marutaka makes a 56" Staggerwing. It used to be sold by Royal. You can see it at the Hobby Barn web site. Hobby Barn is located in Tucson, AZ. A friend and I built the kit last year. We powered ours with an RCV-90.

Thanks Gents,

Staggerwing, how did you staggerwing fly? They look like they fly gentle as a kitten. I just love the classic lines of that bird... always have. How is the RCV? I have looked at those a number of times and wondered about them....

Hattend, that plane vic built is a big'un I wonder If I can get him to post pics :-)

The staggerwing flies great. It is pretty fast. The RCV has plenty of power and we fly at 1/3 to 1/2 throttle to make it look scale. It flies on the wing and you need to keep power up during the landings. RCV is a good engine. No holes in the cowl.
