Hello all, just bought a CP and have a (stupid) question. After removing the heli form the box how does one know if the blades are perfectly in line with each other after you unfold (for lack of a better word) the blades?

I know this must seem like a silly question, so please go easy on this nitro monster truck guy.

it doesn't really matter because as long as the blades are snug and not to tight centrifugal force will straighten them when the rotor head spins up

Hi

If I am not mistaken you grab the corners on the leading edge of both of the blades and then pull strait out. Then you tighten them down.

You don't want the blades too tight, or it will be hard for them to track properly

No, deffinently do not tighten them. Only tighten them if they are extremely loose. They were designed to be collapsing blades. They need that fre movement. Tightening them would be bad for it.

Thanks, guys. I had originally thought to leave them on the loose (but not too loose) side and let centrifugal force take it's course but wanted to be sure. I got her up and running and hovering without training gear (albeit with sweaty hands).

What I read was to hold the heli with the nose pointing straight up, the blades parallel to the ground and gently pull the heli downward - the blades are tight enough if they barely move when you stop. Does this make sense? Whoever posted it originally said it better than what I did, but it seems to work for me.
