I sprayed some white strips on mine with Krylon.
Dried fast and stuck good, but I don't know if its fuel proof.
Let you know when I get to fly it.

I've painted some before. I hear the solid colors of krylon are fuel proof, if you let them get good and dry (like one week before being exposed to fuel residue).
If you want to be sure, coat it in clear polyurethane.
As far as surface prep, i scrub it with very fine steel wool, and then wipe it clean with a good clean towel to remove the residue. Then paint away.

I paint all of mine with Painter's Choice (Lowe's or home Depot). The paint is available in either spray can or half-pints and if I give it about a week to throughly dry. So far it appears to be fuel-proof. As a matter of fact, I think I'm going to use the Painter's Choice on my Sig SE once it warms up enough to paint outside again.

Just my opinon,
Crash Master

I have been playing around with a Stika Machine for a while now. I have yet to use coraplast for a plane, or use it for a sign yet. However it "IS" a sign substrate (backboard). I would suggest contacting a local sign supply warehouse, and pose the question to them. At least they could hook you up with a good 10+ year clear coat for it.

I used gloss Rustolium on my plane. It has 75+ flights on it and it looks like the day I put it on. I did let it cure for 3 or 4 days before I used it. The flat colors turn to a gooy mess when thay get fuel on them.

I used formula U to put the camo on my CoroSpit. It took almost 2 days to dry completely, but worked fine!

I think any water based paint is fuel proof.
