i can give you the older story about the fixx. It started as that they were going to ship them, and then somethin went wrong with em in the assembly line, and they were comin out too heavy, and the power plant was not enough to fly it well. Soooo....they cancelled all orders, and I thought that the project was dead, but now i hear that they are supposed to be out sometime soon. When exactly, i cant tell you.

Hey 3dbatix:
Thank you for the information... I wanted to have one for a Christmas present, and I can guess that I won't make it. I note today that Hobby People took the item off it's listing. I hear that they are using a geared motor and smaller battery pack. I wrote to Zod and hope to see him at Puyallup, where two years ago, he told me this was coming......

hey just a tip, i put a wattage cobalt speed 400 on my zagi and increased the climbout rate by almost 50% speed was so good that i had to put a spar in, folded in half and lost everything but the reciever and plane. and use the apc 5.5x4.5 prop. it makes a huge difference whitout adding much weight.

i got 1 of the first zagi fixxs at the ama convention and it flys wonderfuly. it has anhedral so if you start to stall your going down but thats ok because its so light it just bounces of the ground

stomper -> Size of Fixx (1/27/2003 5:35:41 PM)

Is the Fixx smaller then the Zagi X? Any one put a Hacker on one of these planes?

Yes, the Fixx is a smaller and a lot lighter. It weighs only 10 ounces, which is about half the original. The motor is also tiny compared with the 400 in the original.

Bob Peterson -> Zagi Fixx (1/28/2003 7:03:19 AM)

Hi,
My son and I bought the Zagi Fixx at the AMA convention in Pasadena. Great flying little thing. He had to add a nickle for nose weight. Being real poor, I screwed 4 sheetmetal screws into the nose from the battery box. I would like a little more power, but we had some great combat last Saturday. Builds in a couple hours. It's nice to be able to fly on the property at any time when I can't get to the field. (You know, like when I'm supposed to be working)
Bob
