Please use 1" spacers to install your DA100 on our Yak 102". The 3/4" spacers that come with the kit are to be used for 3W 106. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This is interesting - I thought the DA100 was 3/4 or an inch shorter than a 3W - and that there was a need for a bit of space between the prop and the cowl - so I thought a total of 1.5 inches of standoff length was needed? As I recall the long thread on building this plane supported that conclusion?

Is this the official answer now? (1" rather than 1.5" ?)

Mine is 1.5" total, and no problems, but I am thinking very seriously of changing to cans .. a different length standoff could easily be accommodated - except... then the firewall holes might have to be changed? (or the spinner won't be in exactly the same spot)

With 1" stand offs you will have close to 1" clearance but the problem that we've noticed is the balance issue (New Gen) with 1" stand offs, regular mufflers and DA100. I'd think 1.5" is long and 1.25" would be just fine, especially if you are using cans you don't need your stand offs to be that long. I will have to double check certain things with Quique. He did tell me that he thinks 1" is good enough but I think, more is needed to help balance the plane with DA100 and regular mufflers.

By saying "holes on the firewall", you mean your engine mount bolts holes? If that's the case, no that shouldn't change. Thrust angles stay the same.

I will have more info on this as soon as I get a hold of Quique. He will be out for most part this week.

Status: offline 		I am more comfortable with 1.25" stand offs. If you can use them it would be better. If you are using canisters, maybe even 1.5" but that's a bit long, however it will help you to better fit the headers and pipes. I will do mine with 1.25" and will keep you all posted.
