Thanks to me visiting Tomzag's site and seeing all those beatiful TIgers, I went and got a RTR TIger 1 with battle unit.

Thanks to Calvinwill posting all those beautiful pictures of his Leopard, I picked up this RTR beauty for the same price. I almost got a Tamiya King Tiger or 1:6 Stuart instead. It pays to be patient. Here's the link to the A6. All I need now is the battle system so I can battle the wife at the park.

The Tiger needs to be painted, and I don't want to foul that up. Those stupid stickers had to come of, but left the area white. I'm just blown away by the quality of the Tiger. The A6 I have to wait for. I haven't slept much. I simply cannot wait to get it.

THANK YOU Tomzag and Calvinwill, I was going to get the wife a Hen Long to beat up on, but she's allready very good with my Tiger outdoors, so she will pilot that instead. She absolutely flips when the canon fires, lights up, recoils, and the whole tank recoils. We were fighting over it at the park last Sunday

Another Leo A6 owner, great! I'm kinda concern that its already built (did the builder/owner use the proper adhesives, did he use thread lock, etc) but hey, that is one great deal. Let me know if you have any questions or problems, if I can't answer them, the other Leo owners on this forum can. Just a reminder of just how tough this tank from Tamiya is http://www.battletanksnederland.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=774

Calvinwill, those pictures of the ice-packed sprocket reminded me of the same thing when running the Tiger in the snow! Perhaps a sprocket/idler heater to prevent snow build-up.

Supreme Reign, you made the right choice giving the Tiger over, you will not want to give up the Leo when you experience it first hand! It literally runs circles around Tigers!

Sownare: I'm glad you missed it. You might have had more money than me and more sense than the highest bidder I beat out.

Tomzag: Good to know. I will keep you in mind. Now if I could just stop looking at that Sturmtiger

Hpiguy: Yep. The only downer is I won't get to build the kit. But at more than 1/2 RTR, I'll live.

CapnCrunch43: I can't believe the highest bidder set his max bid at $450 What was he thinking?

Calvinwill: I hear you. I hate tearing down a kit to spot check everything. I hope he put enough greease in the gearboxes. I read somewhere that what came with the kit really isn't enough. Most folks don't put any on. My Tiger 1 was bone dry. Good thing it was only run 3 times indoors.

Heavyaslead: I'm not giving it to her She just gets to drive it. I'm still disgusted the Tiger uses 380 motors. So weak. I need more P-O-W-E-R.

SR - A lot of guys who run at Danville have replaced the 380's with 480's it lowers the top end a bit but you get much better low end power and are not a bunker after the 6-7 hit. My Pershing does dead on 25smph (was doing 30+ before) and can now climb over 45 degrees with 480s

Heavyaslead - you coming to the June event at Danville... My T34/85 Daryl was working on is almost finished (need to add 2 more micro speakers to get sound level up) Its just a little slower then Dougs.

Regards,

James

Hello James

I would like to be there in June but I will be at the beach!

I will definately drive up there when the KVI is completed to help you and Doug out with your T34's and field a formidable Russian force.

The KVI will have trouble keeping up with you guys at 18mph scale speed!

The starting bid was $2.00! Is there a way for a seller to make the starting bid at a set dollar amount? I mean, two dollars? That would make me really nervous, if it was me selling a Leopard!

You got quite a deal.

Thanks, James.

I was curious because the last name of the guy I bought my tank from is Berneir.

Navspook,

If his first name is Dick and he lives in NC the town is named after him in reconition of all the work he put into the battlefield.

Regards,
James
