In mine the terminal was optional. It allow you to change the max rpm and glow plug heat. You don't need it to run the turbine.

I guess you don't have the manual, as the manual explains the process.
Mines is the original simjet fadec. Basically
0 - You may need to adjust the high and low endpoint/atv of your throttle channel, but I don't know the settings for JR.
1- Throttle stick and trim to minimun. Yellow LED off. This is shutdown
2- move trim forward until yellow go on and then off. back up until on again. This is start/idle
done

Once started, the green led flash when at max rpm. You may need to adjust the high end point if it does not happens when the stick is at full throttle.
Good luck,
Edgar

Speed

Sounds like you have the same turbine/fedec combo as Edgard and my self, I have been running mine for about 27 to 35 starts/flights in two different aircrafts with very good success and have a good idea of how to run it and how to trouble shoot it.

The ground terminal is optional like Edgard mention, really, you don't need it to run the engine, I have a copy of the manual and I could send it to you via e-mail, ( I need your e-mail address ) you just have to go to a Kinkos and print it out in color then have them put it together in a binder like I did, should cost you about $25.00.

Radio set up is very easy, I got the info from the Great northern model's web page, go into their page and click on the top, on the the simjet name, on that page scroll down to the ( radio set up tips ) to get the throttle set up for the deferent radios, fallow their instructions and you are done, simple isn't it? Oh, I use Futaba.

If you like to get more help let me know, I could go to Fresno via air, just pick me up at the airport and drop me off of later.

PS: Check my thread " New toy " to get a view of my engine set up on the Kangaroo.

Hi Speed

Carlos and Edgar have provided you with most of the answers you need. Well done guys. If you need a pdf version of the manual, I can send one to you.

For radio setup tips, heres the link to the page on our site. Radio Setup Tips

If you are looking for a terminal, we have one in stock without the IR board.

Enjoy your 2300. It's one of the best in it's class for performance and economy. It also has one of the fastest throttle responses too.

Happy flying,
Ed
