Still looking for .32 solid backplate?? Anyone know where I can find some .18 engine mounts? Would rather not fabricate. Thought I had them on way but guess not:

1...Sorry there is a slight shipping delay in this item. We will have this item out to you in a couple of days. Once again sorry for the delay.
- waldorfrccom
2.. Dear waldorfrccom,
I have not received these items yet? Is there a hold up?
-trespass
3...Dear trespass,
the engine mount is on back order.
- waldorfrccom

Terrible ebay store..ironically, I live in VA. and receive product faster from Tower Hobbies than I do from this guy the next state over.

Hey TrEsPass!

Sitting here watching all the white stuff coming down outside. Be awhile before the Vegas gets back on the water.

Just wondering if I mentioned the upgraded carb I put on my .32? Direct drop in from Super Tiger. Made a noticeable difference - much bigger carb opening.

I have a full mod .18TZ in my vegas and I tried all of the run of the mill standard Octura props with decent results, however I didn't start seeing what I would call best results until I tried the higher pitch props, but I was looking for all out speed and I wouldn't recommend them for racing. The fastest so far for me were the Octura 2137/3, 1938, V937. I also have a 2140/3 that I haven't tried yet because of the weather and other things, but I intend to try sometime this season. The 440/3 and the 640/3 were the best racing props so far with consistant results and performance. I also noticed that when my Vegas gets in the 50mph range it starts acting a little funny and wants to self destruct, but that might just be my hull and setup cause it's all stock for now and just and upgraded turn fin....but that's just me and my experience.

Here's a vid I did some time back using a 2137/3..

Thanks for the prop info FX4L2CX that should save alot of money playing with props! I also had trouble with the stability of the hull at high speeds but adding weight to the left sponson and doing my sponson mod really helped alot now im not scared to go faster! I have watched your video on youtube about 100 times now and thats been my target for about 1 1/2 years and now I hope to be not to far off your vegas ! what nitro% are you running in that vide? I have been running 50%

I run 50% nitro...I also did put 6 or so ounces on the left sponson to get it as stable as it was in that video...I have since added a little sponson mod (experimental) , but have not had a chance to test it yet...

Hey Kevin, have you tried running a x445? Myself and Kaptain have had some great results, but with .32s. Looking forward to heading out to the lake soon. I have been working on a tc31 that now weighs less than my .32 vegas .. woot!

Hey man,
Don't go to the Indian River High School lake just yet...if that's the lake you are talking about...it's still off limits for now...we have a meeting set with the director of operations for the school board on the 16th of Feb. to see what options we may have there, if any....construction may start in a couple of days or a couple of months..we don't know....we'll see Tuesday.
No, I haven't tried anything that large prop size..I think something that size just may hit the rudder, but I'm not sure. I like a smaller, higher pitched props myself..nothing over a 40 or 42mm. I know that yours takes off like a rocket with the .32 in it, so it must have some good low end torque..I would like to see however what it can do with one of my smaller props that have my magic wand waved over them...lol

I have a prather 225 that's supposed to work great on that TC31 if you don't already have one...you can try mine..

Kevin

yea man, would be great to try the prather out. I just recently tore all wood out of the tc31 and plasti dipped all electronics in an attempt to drop the box to lighten her up some more. If it works, I will be running without a box on the MVs also. I will probably be at Debbies RC sometime in the next couple days, pm me your phone number. BTW, I hooked up with an old 6.5 which I'm dying to throw into something

Be carefull with the plasti dip, i used that my self in a vegas with open radio and it will peel off and tear very easily and water can seep in, i now use permatex hi temp rtv silicone gasket sealent it sticks REALLY good, more flexable and does not want to come off.Only needs to go over the screws and seems. I also put a o-ring under the horn with a little di electric grease,no problems at all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Matt, will test it out, found out what you said about the Plasti Dip, seems to seal ok but if there is a small gap or hole it will hold the water in... nix the plasti dip idea!

Don't forget to put some around the wires to, for the reciever i used a rx box from traxxas, they have a few different styles to choose from, use plenty of di electric grease and they work great.
