The V-24 is not a mono hull under the mono hull definitions of all the model boat organizations. Might be the only thing all three model boating organizations agree on.

LOL good point ron, see I will win even if its longer run time that I beat you at.LOL...OH yeah and you better hope the water is like glass Cause Ill run the chop alot better, no blipin on the throttle for me in hopes my boat dont go over HA HA HA!!!

Toyotatruckin, You might be suprised after you see the missvegas run. I ran today on the pond out back I normaly run on and there was a 4 to 6 inch chop on the water. This is rough for this pond. The Thundercat31 handled it with ease and then I ran the Missvegas. It handled it with ease also, didn't even have a close call with it. Installed the grim racer turn fin today and can turn any direction I want now. Still in break in as just ran the 5th tank of fuel through the engine today, but the boat is getting faster. One sprint today was 25 on the gun and at this speed running this boat is like going for a Sunday drive, as smooth as the cat with the chop I had on the water today. Jerry

guys,

One thing I noticed is that the way the pushrod for the rudder is mounted now, i will have more throw or movement in one dirrection than the other..

Should the arm that the pushrod is connected to that controls the rudder be parallel with the back of the transom so there is equal amount of left and right movement.

Another way to ask the same question is where would the rudder arm be when the radio is on and in the servo in neutral position.

The rudder arm should be parallel with the back of the transom or angled just slightly away from the transom. You don't need a whole lot of left rudder deflection.

Be careful making corrections to the left with the stock turn fin.

The servo might be off-center. Put your rudder trim(s) in the neutral position and see where the servo arm is at. It should be 90 degrees to the case side. Once that's done, you can reposition the arm at the linkage at the rudder so that it is square to the transom or parallel to the strut.

I have the grim fin sharpened as per russ's description in the first post in this thread.There is a little movement in the fin but I have my fin flush with the top of the mounting bracket is this a good spot to start.

I am not even going to try the stock fin.

Hey, give it a try. You should be able to tighten the mounting bolts so the fin is solid. It is possible to move the fin a bit because the metal will flex slightly.

after the first hour or so of testing here are my results.

motor started and ran flawless and ran 2 tanks thru really rich and thin started in 1/8 at a time till she ran nice.

I had no turning issues at all as fas as loose or uncontrollable

I had the rudder slightly tilted out from the transom.The strut with a little negative thrust and the c/l of the prop nut parellel with the water pickup hole in the rudder.

The boat seemed tohave to be eased on the straights until the prop gets a bite.The engine seems to rev and then it's almost like it hooks up or shifts gears.When making a turn however ,The boat would slow down and the prop seems to cavitate (for lack of knowing what is actually happening)the engine speeds up ad you loose speed.

I tried the rudder in different positions and tried the strut up and down and it seemed to work the best in the location above.

I would like to try some neutral and positive thrust angle put when I loosen the coupler the strut angle has to be forced to either get neutral or postive thrust.

is there a trick to get neutral or positve.

Any input would be appreciated.

Because the flex cable tube is metal, you will need to exert some pressure to move the strut to a neutral position because you are bending the tube.

Hopefully the people at Aquacraft will upgrade their kits to include Grimmie's turn fin or give present owners a deal on it.
