if you look at the polls you can tell which truck is gonna win because most of the people are bashers and the savage is one of the true monster truck bashers

Thought question!!!!
I had a savage 25 my friend had a SS4.6, on the SS box, you can read heavy duty!!! I'm not sure!!!
He broke, dog bones and C-hubs, 12 spur gears, DIF, DIF ring gear and more.
I blew up 5 kit of clutch bell bearing in 1 day!!!! we sold it!!!

Next time I'll try the REVO!!!

Buy the same truck as your friends!!! if you go out with them, and break a part, a friend could help you!!!!
And check with your local hobby-shop, what kind of parts he have in stock!!!
my local hobby have all Savage parts in stock!!!!!and we was 4 friends with Savage!!!
BUT ONE RIDE MANY REPAIRS, IF YOU CAN RIDE!!!!!!

i run hard and bash hard, and never had a problem with my savage25.

i was wondering how long an engine might last for if it was broken in properly and had good needle settings?

anywhere from 3-6 gallons for a Revo, 8-10 gallons for the Savage.

Savv...there are better engines than the K4.6 for less money it's a good motor, but you'd be better off with any of the SH .28s (LRP, XTM, Mach 28, etc)

For bashing, the Savage wins hands down. The Revo is a great truck, but its meant more for racing and speed. But as far as catching crazy air and surviving some of the sickest nose dives from improper jumps, the Savage is the way to go. Also, the avilability of replacement parts, upgrades, and aftermarket stuff is very wide. The selection for Savage options is unbelievable. Don't get me wrong, Traxxas has great avaiilability for parts and options also, but most people begin with a Savage due to its popularity and therefore knowledge base of off roaders who can teach newbies how to fix them.

Just because everyone says Savages are tough, don't think they are unbreakable. Any RC truck, Traxxas of Savage, will be totalled if you crash full speed into a tree.
