Sama,

Check your e-mail, I sent you Brians details.

I was thinking about buying a Slo V myself to teach the girlfriend but bought an electrafun instead. Why not consider one of them? RC mag did a review on them and it came out really well, even for more experienced flyers. You probably can get them at toyworld, so there's no shipping. Plus its nicer to look over your next plane before you buy it. The electrafun is what I learnt on and is cheaper, able to fly in more wind and much stronger. It also comes with 2 batteries/wings/ tail feathers and is a complete setup as well.

It is really stable with lots of dihedral, and now is full 3 channel, with elevator on the left stick, throttle and rudder on right. I know most have rudder/elevator on the left stick, but this is a really good way to learn ailerons, it will pay off in the future, big time!!! Another bonus is you can use the gear in another plane, and it has a decent transmitter, too. I can loop, roll, chandelle and fly inverted on mine (we're a 2 electrafun family now). ROG is no problems in the space ofa cricket pitch. Flight times are about 6-8 minutes with the stock batt's, with one of my 7.4v 2 cell lipo's I can get over 20 minutes then I need a break 'cas my neck is killing me.

I flew it out in the desert when stock and thermalled it up until it was truly a tiny white speck in the sky. It took ages to come back down, even with no motor on. I even put a infra red CCD camera on mine to do some AP with and it still flew like a champ!!

Its a good one to keep for those days when its too windy for the foamies. We took it out on sunday and the wind was so strong it was hovering at 3/4 throttle and barely moving forwards at full throttle, but climbing like a... well, since this is a family site you can imagine....

clovus

ps. bummer about the TM, send it back!!!!

Sorry to hear about that.
I am now learning to cover my plane and I have used up nearly 3/4 of my film and have only succesfully covered one sixth of my wing. What a waste of twenty bux!
Looks like where both havin a bad day Sama!

Wicked! dual aileron servo's. Looks like a GWS copy tho...

Talking about blown $$, have a look at the micro and indoor thread. I just built a cartoon-ish style P51 from balsa for probably $0.60 . Took me all of 45 minutes and I'm a slow builder too. Whack your AA electronics in and bob's ur uncle.

Mate,

Now that you've built it why don't you give ur moth a test flight anyway? Have you flown anything other then the AA? Looking at the dual surface ailerons I'd try to reduce the throws as much as possible so it's not too sensitive. Be gentle with the sticks and you should be OK. I bet it'd fly ok using just rudder/elevator for your first coupla flights until you get comfortable with it. You probably won't need full throttle to get airborne with all that wing surface. I'm still worried about the thrust angle, can you get anyone else to help launch/fly it for the first time?

Not wanting to sound critical, but you might want to check the alignment of the ailerons, the top ones look a bit uneven.... then again it could be the photo, servo position, or my dodgy eyes..... Just trying to avoid a disasterous maiden (ask me how I know.....)

Clovus

Sama,I'm with Clovus, give it a go now you have it.Good points about making sure the control surfaces are level with each other,go with smaller throws to start with, make sure that the tail and vertical stabiliser are aligned properly, and make sure that your centre of gravity is in the right spot.
It looks to me that the stick mount is offset the same way that the prop will turn,is that correct?
If that is the case you will have dramas I think.Sometimes the mounts are offset a bit against the thrust to counter the torque of the prop to enable the plane to fly in a straight line.
However it appears that your offset is going the opposite, and is quite pronounced, and will lead to grief unfortunately.
I would definitely try to do some surgery to make it aligned before flight, but she is a nice looking little bipe though, don't give up on her yet,she will probably fly quite well as it looks like a knock off of the GWS planes, and they fly very well from most reports.
Good luck,
Bleary.

Im with Bleary and Clovus,

Just give it a go on minimum throws and you should be fine.
Bleary and Clovus have given all the right advice

hey, As i have stated before i have flown 3ch for a year or two. How do i tell if prop is on forwards or backwards. Can i tape the ailerons so i can only use rudder?
