Got a 35% extra with a large canopy. It was suposed to be tinted but they dont make them that way any more. I was told I could die it to give that effect.
Dose anyone have a good recipe for this . I want it pretty dark but not blacked out.

Better be careful about how dark you tint it , The sun will melt a dark canopy ( Ask me how I know ) I set my plane out on the ground when I got to the field and a friend asked me to help hold his plane while he assembled it and by the time I got back to mine I had a nice melted canopy about 15 mins

I had an all black canopy on my G202. Yes, you had to watch the sun, but all i did was throw a white tee-shirt over it while it sat out, or put it under a tent in the shade. As for tinting it, ive heard there was a way to do it in an oven? but im not sure. Try a search through some previous threads, you might be able to find something.

Happy Holidays,

There is a spray available which is for tinting the windows on R/C cars. Not sure what it is called or who makes it but I read on someones webpage that they used it to tint the windows on their scale R/C helicopter. It turned out very well and was less trouble then dying it. Just check your LHS in the R/C Car section and see what they have.
