Hey, it's time to rebuild my shocks. I'm using Team Losi fluid and have about every weight. What TL weight would be closest to the Mugen 400 that comes with the kit? It seems to have done me well.

thought this might be a good place to start for some info... a friend of mine has an MBX5T Prospec and it had a cool spring antenna which he said came standard with his pro kit. It looked like it attached to the top of the receiver box... anyone know the part number as it could be something which would help stop my antenna looking sad and bent at the end of most races!

and one more question... i heard OS are picking up the manufacture of ninja engines for mugen now that GRP have discontinued production. If this is true does anyone know where I could find out some more info?

as far as LIPO setup goes i like using the Novak voltage regulator and i run either a 1500 receiver pack or 2000...

the only thing i do to my regulators is i change out the switch for a futaba switch. seems to work great for sure.

The stock chassis is in no way equivalent or even close to what BCE offers. 7075 coming out of the far east is far inferior to USA 7075. If you are a serious racer then the BCE chassis is a must have. If you just bash then it is a waste of money.

i disagree, i have been running my stock chassis for well over a year now racing. I have yet found the need for the BCE chassis. its nice but definitely not needed. if you got some cash to burn its a nice added feature, but not needed. jmho

I just picked up an MBX5T Prospec Kit. I was wondering if someone could help me out w/a little info on backlash adjustment on the diffs. I'm unclear on whether to install the shims or not. The mesh seems a little tight w/a shim installed. And way loose without it. Is this the way it's supposed to be? Please help. Thanks

if this is a brand new kit, you may have to just run it first break in your diffs, then shim.

there are different sized shims to use, its all depending, i think whats also important is adding some grease between the conical and bevel gear. I use some belray grease that you can pick up at your local motorcycle shop for like 5 bucks a tub.

allot of people strip out their rear bevel and or conical gear thinking it was soley due to shimming, shimming was probably part of the problem, but when you take into account the amount of heat that generates between those two gears, its almost a no brainer to add some grease.
