finally got her 2geva and out on the trak. this truggy is like poetry in motion. runnin 7/10/2 and she handled like a dream, strong in the turns and cleared ALL the jumps... triples, doubles...triple doubles lol. serioulsy tho, wut was most imressive was after all day @ the trak, i had ZERO problems!! everything held 2geva except for the wing mount. one of the screws kept coming out. this is by far the best RC purchase ive made and highly recommend this kit!! the MBX6 buggy will be my next purchase.

With the new Mugen truggy arrival less than a month away it's time to start an Official thread concerning the MBX5T.

In speaking with Mugen today the samples are about 2 week away with the production models due at the end of the month!

Prices look good also from what I have seen so far...

http://www.speedtechnitro.com/ebproductdetail.asp?id=7004

tips, tricks, set-ups...lets keep them coming!

I was just looking at this post. It's the first post of this thread. It's amazing how mugen released the 5T 3 years ago and it still is a major competitor. I can't wait to see a new truggy from mugen. I've seen alot of new ones come out but i'm waiting for mugen. Even though I have my prospec, I'll still get a new mugen truggy or maybe even the buggy. I've seen and read all rumours, i just hope they come true soon.

Ok guys i ran into a problem. Whenever i get the starter box wheel lined up with the flywheel the wheel hits the chassis. Im using the dynamite torque start. I think the wheel is just too big. I tried everything and im not going to dremel the chassis. I am most likely just going to get a used chrome top off of ebay. This will be a better fit won it???

Look into the truggy box from ofna too, heard they are much easier to set up to start truggies. But the ofna chrome top will work too.

Yea i would get the truggy box but i cant just throw 100 down on it. I think i can get a used chrome top on ebay with battery for about 50. But thanks for the suggestion though

How are they still leaking and you rebuilt them? (even though their too new for a rebuild) I still dont know why you guys have such a problem with lining up your truggies on the chrometop and with mines i can sit it on there and fire it right up... and the wheel on the box has lost alot of rubber. Then again I do have an aftermarket clutch so it might be bigger than the stock ones that come with the trucks.

Sounds like a plan Jeff, let us know how that jammin .28 performs in the truck.
