What up everybody. I finally ordered my prospec. It whould be here some time next week. I will be running a jammin .28 with and 053 and futaba 3pm. The only thing is i kind of had to cheap out on servos but ill get some better ones a little later.

Hi I was running my 5T @ the mexican nats in tijuana 2 weeks ago and my conrod broke. (its a Trinity Platinum Drake .28), I read this engine is basically a Picco/jammin .28, anyone knows if I can put a new conrod from picco or jammin? because the engine is aout of the market now.

Rob at Nitrohouse can hook u up.

it will be a direct drop in.....but like any car...small adjustments on the carb angle and the puller should be made to make the throttle as smooth as possible.

Thanks, should it be setup so the throttle linkage is straight? and it goes back and forth straight, not at any angle?

My buddy was thinking about getting a mbx5t but recently saw the article on the new Team Associated RC8T, wondering what would be the better buy. Considering I own a mugen.

When the cop pulls you over doing 160 mph, and asks if you knew how fast you were going say, "yep i had cruise control on".

I don't think so, not to mention the parts for the new one will most likely be interchangeable.

I run the JR 9000's. (S & T). They're a little pricey, but I have been runnin them all summer and had '0' issues with them. Great throttle snap and awesome steering torque.

The following was posted on http://www.truggyracers.com by Tony Robison of "Tony Screws"
before Mugen Japan released their picture.

"There are no plans for a new truggy "yet". Mugen USA has stopped putting together MBX5R kits and MBX5T ProSpec kits. But they will continue parts supports for both for years. The next car will be known as the MBX6 per Scott Hughes and the Mugen teams will run it at the Worlds at the Farm 2. I believe the plan for the truck is to fit the new MBX6 shocks (new 16 or 17mm big bores) to the current MBX5T and then sell it as an upgraded MBX5T (perhaps MBX5T-RR or something like that). They will just need red springs in the new bore size made for the heavier truck. The new MBX6 buggy will have a lightened drive train that may not see its way to a heavier truck. The one thing that Mugen likes about the current MBX5T is the incredible durability that is unmatched by any other truck on the market (not saying the other trucks are not good as the ST-RR kicks butt, but it is not as durable as the Mugen). Mugen also feels that it is just as competitive as any other truck.

Regards, Tony R"

gess this means the good old 5T will be around for awhile
will only need to get a few upgrades
