Dude. I love the way Dubro looks on the SC. I Went out with a flyin buddy and almost put those Dubro 2 3/4" diamondlite tires on mine for looks, but decided to leave them at home cuz i wanted to fly light and shed the extra weight. then later a 3rd grader and his dad suggested i try the drop module with extra weight: Dropping a load of a handful of rocks!!! Heavy hauler did it with no problem.
No kiddin the load was a handful in size. i had the rocks wrapped in saran wrap, and the drop module's little straps maxed out in length. It actually climbed to a high altitude and i kept the plane away from people of course. I was impressed with the plane's load capacity. Very impressed.

The only problem with my oversized tires is the rate it decends when you cut the throttle. So i put the stock ones back on to float with the eagles a little longer without throttle. But my dubro's are the "diamond-lite" style that look treaded with little diamonds. Bush pilot style. And I love the way the dubros look on your cub gws

here's my tires. and here's the finished camo float product. Using a leaf to block the darker overspray, you get a nice 3D effect on camo-painting.
Does anybody remember MrMugen's Flying Cow with snow-skiis? I think he landed on a frozen lake. Scary stuff if you're from California like me. Do the skii's affect the supercub's flight, and is it hard to land with them?

Set up my cub for flapperons last night. Will report back after lunch.
I know it's overkill on the cub...but it looks like fun.

Gws,

I am trying out the flycamone2. I have been using a Tony Hawk cam. I was limited in where I could strap it to the Cub. You know I will be posting everytime I make a video once i test it out.

Here is a link to my mount of the 5-n-1 camera. Video must be flipped both horizontally and vertically, which can be done with MS Windows Movie Maker. Flycam has an option to do that.

Firebird, here are the photos you requested of the mount. Just curl the plastic with heat (hair dryer), trim to fit and hot glue into position. The wrap around the wing about 3/8". The could be extended to fit under the rubber bands.

Great idea on the wing mount...What kind of plastic did you use? This would fix the constant problem I use to have on my retired SC. I just bought a used/tested/inspected SC lp from eBaylome for 120. It just came today and so far I can't find a thing wrong with it. I have been away from the hobby for a little over a year. Had a crashed SC laying around in the garage needing a new fuse and motor. Finally decided to buy a parts one from eBaylome and get it in the air again but then I saw the LP version...very cool, had to have it!  And with a little lake in my back yard, I can't wait to try the floats.
