Agreed: 1:10th is a Far Better Size and At least You will be able to get a Wider Range of CHassis, Parts and be able to attend Drift meets..

We Look forward to seeing what you end up getting..

There is Nothing Wrong with Nitro, but for Drift they are not the Best.
They require more Matenience, More room and You cant attend late night Drift meets or most Indoor meets with a Nitro

Electric Shaft Drive is the Only way to go for Car park meets and Drift meets..
Just make Sure they have no Exposed Gears like a TB-02 or TT-01 or TL-01 less Chance of a Pebble Ruining a Days Sliding

ill still drift or tail out with 2wd so its not important to change my name. x mods also have aftermarket upgrades like stacked FET's carbon fiber chassis, lipolys, alum wings, aluminum diffs, aluminum parts for the wheel links and billet shocks, drift tires(not radioshak ones) motor upgrates(20t to 40t) turbos, aluminum steering links, better servos for steering, battery holders, AWD aluminum driveshafts, nylon gears, sheilded and unsheilded bearings, AWD "dogbones", stiffer springs, etc.

2WDrifter, Xmods are still crap, unless you upgrade the electronics to something proper. Even an Iwaver board, or preferrably a Mini-Z board will do.

I'm still working on my MR02, the setup goes as follows now:

Front tires: drift, sanded down, adapted to Square inch-ups
Rear tires: GPM 55
Wheels: Square inch-up for MR02

Front spring: Atomic disk damper spring, red (medium)
Rear t-plate: 3racing medium
Rear damper: Atomic disk damper, duralube, green (soft) springs both sides

Differential: GPM 12 ball
Motor: hybrid, uses Hyper dash 2 armature

I'm taking short video clips each run, so that I might have a long, well-edited video to show you guys by the time school starts. I can keep the tail out at 40 degrees or more, for 10 feet or more, so I know I can do this. If I had more space to run, I'd bring out the mod car and go 20 feet each drift; but right now the mod car's useless.

Which shows you've never had one... Xmods have 32 steering steps (vs. 512 in a proper system) and 5 functional throttle steps. Completely useless for good drifting. You need hobby-grade electronics from the get go to make an Xmod a decent RC. You probably should get a Mini-Z AWD if you're into 1/28 scale drifting.

the board upgrades will make transitions on the steering and throttle smoother and anyway, i drive on full throttle and full steering(tapping the controls of course)

2WDrifter, you just won't understand until you get one. That crap from Atomicmods is only good for hotter motors and power, and wasting cash on larger wires. It doesn't help throttle smoothness, nor steering smoothness.

And if you drive full throttle and full steering all the time, you're not going to get anywhere with drifting. Sorry if I came across harsh, but there are just certain things that won't work in RC'ing. And certain things (like Atomicmods) that you shouldn't waste your time and money with.

Listen to the guy above me and get the $90 TT01... by the time you get an Xmod capable of precise drifting, it'll cost you over $100.

Color0 I can drift at full throttle with my 1/10 scale tt-01d. Sorry if you meant a smaller scale than that. But it is possible bud. I have a vid to prove it.

i dont hold the throttle on full ALL the time. i constantly blip the throttle to full during a turn.

emx6, I meant at 1/28 scale. It's near-impossible to get the line right with an Xmod (which I've been drifting for 2 years+) if you pull full-throttle 100% of the time. It's definitely not efficient, though that's not exactly what most people look for.

All I really needed to know was that you guys blip/modulate the throttle at some point during the turn; but I can guarantee (unfortunately) that it's nowhere compared to the work one has to do with an RWD drift.
