Got my P40 in today. No damage and great quality ARF in my opinion. Now my brain won't stop thinking of all the possibilties of this project. As you can see, I'm already having fun. Paul

looks great! look forward to seeing how the kit comes together.
I know Mike G does great stuff with Skyshark, and this shouldnt be
any different.

good luck with the project.

LOL! Are you sure that one is a Skyshark? The wings look a little too hairy - we usually shave ours before sending them out!

I think it's another CMP copy!

YEP>>>> HAVE TO AGREE Guys.... WRINKLES ALL OVER THAT OLIVE DRAB COVERING....EVEN THE MARKINGS ARE WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY out of scale.....WHO ever saw a P-40 with the STAR/BARS on the CENTER BELLY "TANK"
and wasn't it suppose to come with "CHINESE MARKINGS"

ON a Positive note...Would make a GREAT HALLOWEEN SCARY DECORATION with that FEARSOME SHARK MOUTH

Tomas

That looks more like a Land Shark from one of those Saturday Night Live skits.

Paul, Are you using fully symmetrical arms for lift there? Also, you might want to check the balance and incidence before you fly her like that...looks like it might be a little tail heavy missing the spinner. You also might want to shave the hair off the arms for less drag in the air.

Good luck, will watch you do the assembly and build.

Took inventory of radio gear. Looks like I'll be using Hitec 645MG's on ailerons and elevators. Good ol' Futaba 5101's for flaps. Futaba S34 1/4 scale for rudder and tail wheel. Hitec 425BB for throttle. Airtronics 94102 for retract switch, on JR 652 radio and R600 receiver with JR heavy duty switch and 1200 MA 4.8 v battery. How's that for mix and match? Power will be a well broken in and strong running BME 50. 20x12 or 21x10 prop. Hopefully just the pipes and small hole for carb is only cutting needed on cowl. The supplied huge spinner is a work of art and sure makes the motor look small. The adjustable motor box is a great idea and needs only slight beefing up to meet my satisfaction. Gotta work this weekend but will be planning things in my head. Wanna hear from other owners of this plane too! Paul

Paul,

That looks like the most useful plane I have seen in a long time. I don't even think I would have to give up my garage space for it.
