Some people are having problems with this new motor if it sits too long. The bearings want to rust. Does anybody now why? and if so what would be the best method to cure this problem. Im racing the NCal T34 triangle series. The same maintenance was fine with the FX. WHATS DIFFERENT.

I think the bearings are just of poor quality (my thoughts only). I replace the rear bearing with the Swiss made bearing from Dave Shadel. Then just run the motor dry at the end of a days racing, do not even use after run oil, now into the second season with the AX and no bearing problems (yet).
Some of the more prudent guy's run a couple of onces of FAI fuel through their motor, then run it dry.

Hi!
Yeah! The Swiss WIB bearing ( C4 play) with plastic retainer is very good.
MVVS sell these too. All .40-.49 two stroke engines except Rossi uses the 28x15x7 mm bearing at the rear.

We see the same thing here in Minnesota in our NCPL racing league. There cheap, no name bearings, there's no number on them. I just made the jump to swiss myself.
