Status: offline 		I just ordered a Walkera 36 to add to my 22e stockpile-I'd like to know if this will be a better copter than the 22e? It took one crash to break several head linkages, and I think the receiver on the 22e. Helicopter receiver just blinks and doesn't fully initialize the servos, so I'm guessing the receiver is belly up although I see no damage or smell no burnt electronics, but it did run hot for awhile on my last flight attempt-I haven't even fired up the rotor for more than a minute or two at a time. And the blade pitch went completely negative just before the copter became totally inoperative-would swing the blades 0 to -9 degrees pitch! AAArgh! Any feedback would be appreciated-give me some hope here or is this how all the Walkeras end up-this one's only two weeks old. Thanks.

Status: offline 		it might be screwed up electrics.. check the servos.. if one of them is defective the RX will heat up and all the servos on the pack will do crazy things.. this does happen on the NS05 servos.. when the motor burns up it shorts the servo board and the 4 in 1 tends to go wild...

Status: offline 		How can I check the individual servos, I would guess by disconnecting the respective connectors to the receiver? I can check the rotor and tail rotor motors by simply running voltages to their power terminals, but if the receiver is fried, what voltage or signal do the servos take? Can I connect the battery voltage directly as I would to the motors? Meanwhile I have ordered a new Walkera receiver/mixer to test all this. Right now the 22e is totally dead-no response from the transmitter at all, except for a momentary response from the servos initially. Seems like alot of things going wrong for one boomcrash, but I know these puppies can fly with the right skill and maintenance. Thanks for your response, I appreciate it.

Status: offline 		In response to my own post (again) the problem was the receiver-I was fooled since I didn't think a part like this could go bad so soon-I've barely had it for two weeks. I stuck with a new stock Walkera receiver as I'm not sure a different brand would be any better although I've heard the Hi-tech and aeroflight can be swapped in. If anyone has experience with a better receiver, let me know.

Status: offline 		You may also check the crystal in the Rx, if it goes south, your Rx won't work, pull the crystal out and reseat it.

The crystal may be damage when crashed, I had similar problem, the Rx won't work due to a bad crystal, it works when I switched to the crystal from my W#4 (same frequency) and I had to buy a new pair.

Status: offline 		Good idea, probably doesn't hurt to have a spare crystal set or two. I didn't scrap the old mixer/receiver and I will give it a try with the crystal from the new receiver. Just got the Walkera 36-looks pretty nice, I'll try to keep this forum posted with any new info that hasn't already been covered here. And repairing the 22e, seems like I'm in good company. If I've learned anything, I will trim and balance everything before I attempt any movement at all, on the ground or the air. FMS has given me a sense of how difficult it is to balance these, no wonder I mutilated this one so fast! Thanks E_Heli for the help.
