Great work George!

Nice looking, scale in actuation and perfectly working!

Moreover the nose-well-sealing may not be that difficult in the end... thumbs up!

Ciao nubiros!

The 2 90SPs seem overkill to me: they're heavier then the 60s (which are heavier than a standard 4-stroke .70 ) and the torque/prop dia they output is unnecessary.

The 60SPs are fine, heavier than .40-.45s 2-stroke and than .70s 4-stroke, more expensive too, but they look scale inside the cowl and they turn more scale multi-bladed props: please bear in mind that the reccomended 3-blade prop the 60s turn (APC 13.4x13.5) fits by a 1/2" or so before eating the fuse... while the 3-bladed 15.75x13 the 90s turn will surely cut through it!

HTH,

Maybe my thread will be stupid, if so, please excuse me.

Is it possible for the front gear movement to be smoother?
I have no experience with retracting gears, so I just ask.
Another question: where am I able to get FESTO components or other brands' components for retracting gears?
THX guys.

Hi , prokyz

I'm using the Robart 167VR Variable Rate Control Valve to control the air flow to cylinders
http://www.robart.com/air_systems/valves.aspx
This is Festo for Czech Republic : http://www.festo.com/INetDomino/cz/cs/35130f6d71a7d9e5c1256b5d0054f2a0.htm
Festo cylinders have various mounting options, with or without additional mounting components.
They have a diameter of 8 ... 63 mm for double-acting and single-acting cylinders , standard stroke lengths 10-15-20-25-etc but you can
order any stroke length from 1 to 500 mm and any mounting type you want.
Also the DSNU type cylinders have a magnetic ring build inside with the piston. With an external magnetic sensor
(extra order ...25 euros in Greece) you can use it as a switch for landing lights.
Take a look at festo catalog , they have a wide range of components and all in mm

George

hi guys
tell me st about two below engines:
1- the engine that mentioned in the map ( maybe with 1.4 bhp )
2- rcv60 - sp (0.9 bhp)
can we replace second one with first one for maximum weigh ( 6 kg )?

anothe question:
difference between engine power (bhp) and engine volume (cc)? and which item is more important for selecting the engine?

which material can be replace with AL-7075?
