I forgot to mention while typing the last message... if anyone here is in the Raleigh, NC area, RDRC is having a Mall Show this weekend at Triangle Town Center. This is the preface for the Fly-For-Tots funraiser on September 23-24. You can find info, flyers, etc about this on our club website at:

There's only a few days left to get in on the raffle, and the huge list of prizes is growing and growing. You can see the list and buy tickets online at:
You don't have to worry about waiting for the tickets to arrive to you via mail before the fund raising event on Sept 23-24, as we log the ticket numbers and will contact everyone who wins. Raffle winners will also be posted online immediately after the drawings. The list of goodies is unreal, pop over to the link above and have a look. It's cheap to get in on it, and ALL proceeds (every penny!) go directly to the kids at 'Smiles for Little Faces'. We raised over $5000 last year, and should be able to rock and roll this year, considering the sponsorship and support from the R/C Industry we'bve had this year. Please help us help the kids with your participation in this event.

Here are a few pictures from Friday at the RDRC Toys for Tots flyin. People are startign to arrive and we got quite a bit of flying in. Hey, just a little note the wind is from the right, that means a left hand pattern. Come on out, we will also have a full scale helicopter doing rides, a raffle for a Stearman ride (airport 3 miles away) and a ton of raffle prizes. The field is looking great and plenty of aircraft, Jets, Helicopters, OUTLAWS!, foamies, Big Pigs, you name it, if it flys, bring it out. Hey we even had a hot air ballon land there today. You will be sorry if you miss it. Anthony

Well I'm stinky, tired, and have a bunch of stuff in my car that I'm not looking forward to unloading, but I'm in a great mood because this event was fantastic! Definitely sign me up for next year. Looking forward to seeing more pictures from the event, as well as the vid from Higher Plane. That was the first time I've landed my Extra with someone running next to it with a camera, talk about pressure to not bounce! The noon displays were all awesome, and the 6-plane Outlaw flight was insane! Thanks to the RDRC crew for putting on a perfect event; hopefully you guys can finally get some sleep now!

I had a absolute blast,, almost like a miniature Joenall,,, here are a couple of flightline pics, each half of the flightline, there were tons of planes, heli's etc,,, this is now, the biggest flyin in North Carolina, and possibly in the next year or two, will be in Top 20 in the nation, who know,,
