the kit does come with all the flywheel and clutch gear, all you need is an engine, pipe and radio gear. And the diff and shock oils, locktite, tools and glue. As for the engine if your going to be bashing with your mates and a little racing then id say get a .28 Its always good to have more power when your playing around and also youl have bragging rights among your mates for the fastest truggy. You can never have too much power when your bashing about having fun, its just racing thats a different story

YEAH, good point, my friend has a sirio .21 revo with a trinity pipe and it is nice (on cammera) but i want to prove my domination (white kid vs. brainy asian kid ) ya, definately going to consider the kit, keep me busy, but then again, heck, it should be fun , any clue if i wanted to use the LRP .28 truggy (or ps engine) if you need new mounts?? hope not

Hmm... I was pretty excited to unbox my new ST-1. As I was putting on my wheels to show the kids, I noticed that the front left wheel was way out of line and the shock was very rough, almost completely locked... After staring at the front end a bit I figured out what was wrong. Looks like the factory worked wasn't paying attention and put the left a-arm in upside down... I'm hoping nothing it too bent up, as the shock clearly didn't like being installed in this way. Would it be pretty obvious if the shock shaft is bent, or should I take of the shock condom and check it?

Also, after I fixed the a-arm, the tires where really out of alignment. It took quite a bit of fudging with the turnbuckles to get them "mostly" aligned. Is this normal, or should I be worried about something being bent?

Wow TT should be ashamed. This is what happens when they start selling kits to cheap. Never heard of all these stupid things when the RTR was $369. I wouldn't be worried its still sitting on a pivot ball. What you need to do is align the turnbuckles evenly with a ruler or caliper. Same applies with the pivot balls attached to the hubs. Look for a bit of negative camber as well. Basically when the wheels are pointing forward the middle brace for the steering should look centered and the turnbuckles should be evenly threaded.

Again very sad to see something that stupid happen, on a good note you got a hardcoated chassis RTR I would go over all the screws and locktite them or atleast make sure there tight, especially considering the a-arm was installed incorrectly....

Again, buying the PRO kit means you can make sure that everything is in the right place and perfect yourself, cause you build it yourself.

calvino, you dont need a low to mid range pipe cause you have an Axial. its got all the low to mid you will ever need for an ST-1. Id say a JP-2 for the pipe though to compensate for the top end, and i think dirthead will agree cause he has the same combo and he loves it, says its really good on the bottom and the JP-2 pipe makes it scream at the top. As for the servos the throttle isnt as important so you can get away with a cheaper one but for the steering, its one of the most important things on the car so its worth biting the bullet and getting a good fast one with some decent torque. The ACE DS1015 is what i recommend, it costs a bit but once you try it out you will be glad you bought it and never look back. I have one im my PRO and i use a 2500mAh hump pack now and its absolutely perfect. The radio is the same deal especially if your going to be racing. I wouldnt dream of using the old crystals anymore, not when you can get 2.4GHz sets for cheap. Im using an Airtronics MX-3FHSS 3 channel and to know i can go anywhere, no matter how many RC vehicles out there im never going to have a problem. Built in failsafe, 2.4GHz frequency hopping, zero interference. Just a few ideas for ya mate. Im not saying go and buy all the top gear, but dont rush out and buy crap that your going to change your mind on after your first outing. Do it right the first time and you'll thank yourself

Hey calvino, I've got a JP-1 that I don't need anymore since i've upgraded to a different engine with a JP-4 pipe. I know that it's labeled as a low-mid pipe but there wasn't that much of a difference when I did my comparison runs with the JP-4. the JP-4 was just a little shy at the bottom end compared to the JP-1. At the top end the JP-4 gave just a bit more. There was just a tiny shift in the power band - almost (i said "almost" unnoticable or not worth my upgrade - unless you're racing, which made it worth it for me. The JP-1 is only 2 months old so let me know if you're interested. I also still have the stock TTR Pro .28 engine if you want to give that a try before you spend $200 on the Axial and pipe.

You wont be disappointed with the stock TTR engine. Aside from its top-end performance on the straights, I was beating people on the track with much better engines and truggies.

PM me or just e-mail me - I'm only about 25 mins away from your location.
