Check out this vid from last Sunday at the track we raced at this Sunday.
It's my dark green ttr st-1 pro with an axial 28 RR, vs a hellfire with a picco 28
Was really close till I went off the track, but then I got back on just to see my friend's clutch let go. So I ended up winning.

After sealing my engine my st-1 would start but turn off as soon as I will take the glow igniter off of the plug. Some times it will run for a little bit after taking the glow igniter then shut off. I've tried to play with the needles, have tried the factory needle settings and tried to lean it out a little from there on but to no avail.

I used high temp rtv silicon gasket maker (26B).

It feels like its not getting any nitro in in the engine, could that be because I sealed the pinch bolt? I've tried to set the HSN to 5 turns out and LSN to 8 turns out that should make it run super rich but even that it starts and I don't notice it spitting any nitro out of the exhaust.

Please let me know what do you guys think I've done wrong here!!!

Sick. Really like that track! It's wide, good variety, simple, with awesome jumps!

Ya disassemble the carb check it out. The RTV will expand when you tighten everything down. It is also possible the glow plug is bad. Doubt it sounds like what you think is the problem! Get a air compressor if you have one handy and blow the nipple out.

wow i feel like such an ahole. it wouldnt run because the fuel line was pinched coming out of the tank under the splash guard. all is well now. i guess i just got too excited to run the truck.

I replaced the glow plug when I couldn't get it to run w/o the glow igniter. Last night I was reading the rtv box and it says to let it sit for 24 hrs. and I fired it up after like an hour. 24 hours w/o nitro is a LONG time. So I opened up the engine again, scraped off the rtv from around the carb. I noticed that the green slime was clogging the needle holes, so I unclogged that and put it all back together. Since its the same amount of work to seal one engine I went ahead and sealed all 3 of my engines, the others I haven't run yet.

So far it has only been 14 hours and counting. Should I wait another 10 hrs? or not

edit: Does anyone know how long green slime takes to dry?
