offset helps balance the truck in the rough stuff, it will fly more balanced and it will help it corner better, you will get full steering throw without the rub. i have always run mine with the ofna offsets and never had an issue

So...., I broke the pull-start on the stock motor, and got the roto-start conversion. In my frustrations, I removed the pull-start, gave it a once over, decided that there was no way in hell I could fix it, and then trashed it. Uh-oh, little did I know that there was a part there that I needed. It's the plastic washer thing, that attaches to the shaft, I needed that so I could slide the gear of the roto-start on there. Does anyone know if I can buy that little part seperately, and if so what is the part number. Please help, I haven't even got to fully break in the truck yet .

It is called a one way bearing. Go to www.infinitehobbies.com to buy one. The part # TTRAN0924. I would order at least two. They tend to strip out sometimes. Make sure you heat your engine up with a heat gun or good hair dryer before using roto start. It keeps the one bearing from stripping out. Hope this helps.

I am currently breaking in my stock motor. It's been a while since I have done this. I have a quick question though, is it normal for the motor to cut out when I apply the brakes? Does it do this because the setting is rich? I don't remember this happening when I was breaking in my TMaxx.

You need to adjust your linkage. the reason its cuting off is because the carb opening is closing too far.

You might also need to adjust the carb opening.

carb opening should be about 1.5-2mm
